The Lead acts as a key partner to Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable performance enhancements, streamline processes, and support the adoption of new systems and practices across the organization.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work with Tayco’s motivated and engaging team, enjoy Tayco’s fantastic culture which has won us our Great Place to Work certification, as well as be an important part of our exciting growth plans.\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy.\nResponsibilities:\nPromote and foster a culture of continuous improvement across Tayco, encouraging innovation, efficiency, and accountability.\nPromote the adoption of industry best practices, continuous improvement frameworks, and technology-enabled solutions.\nEngage employees at all levels to build buy-in, overcome resistance, and support the successful transition to improved processes and systems.\nSupport a safe, organized, and high-performing working environment for all team members.\nIdentify, evaluate, and present continuous improvement opportunities related to processes, systems, and technology, including clear implementation plans and expected benefits.\nPlay a key role in the design, development, and implementation of technology systems, programs, and processes to improve operational performance.\n·Partner with IT and management to ensure system and technology solutions align with operational needs and best practices.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, system workflows, standard operating procedures, and training materials to support process and technology changes.\nLead and/or facilitate cross-functional improvement initiatives and transformation projects using structured change management and facilitation methodologies.\nProvide leadership, guidance, and hands-on support throughout improvement initiatives, addressing employee questions about processes, systems, and technology.\nLead or promote programs to sustain implemented improvements (e.g., TWI, standardized work).\nLiaise with various departments to support waste reduction, cost reduction, and productivity improvement strategies.\nLeverage data, analytics, and performance metrics from operational and business systems to support improvement initiatives and track results.\nProvide clear, concise reporting to communicate project status, outcomes, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.\nUse problem-solving and root-cause analysis techniques to evaluate performance gaps and implement corrective actions.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nWe are seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading process improvement or operational excellence initiatives, with proven results.\nExperience supporting or implementing technology or system changes is an asset.\nExperience taking a project through a manufacturing launch cycle preferred.\nStrong expertise in Lean manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement methodologies, and structured problem-solving.\nTraining or practical experience in change management.\nAbility to create, present, and execute project plans with measurable targets and outcomes.\nQuality control background, including root-cause analysis, is an asset.\nStrong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools; experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.\nAbility to produce clear documentation, training materials, reports, and presentations.\nStrong leadership abilities, capable of facilitating effective cross-functional meetings and workshops.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, diplomatic approach.\nThis position is also required to wear PPE (safety shoes, safety glasses, and hi-visibility vest) when in the plant / warehouse.\nHighly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nSelf-directed, confident, and decisive, with a strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity.\nCommitment to personal growth and the advancement of continuous improvement across the organization.\nWorking conditions\nThe working conditions described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
