This newly created role will help shape and advance cost accounting practices across our manufacturing businesses operating on the Oracle ERP platform.\nYou’ll initially partner closely with a large manufacturing business currently operating on Oracle, bringing deep manufacturing cost accounting expertise and strong Oracle functional knowledge to strengthen end-to-end processes, policies, controls, and reporting. You’ll work across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Information Technology to improve cost accuracy and visibility, solve complex process and system issues, and provide meaningful financial insights to the business.\nAs Taylor continues its transition to Oracle, you’ll have the opportunity to help create a scalable, consistent approach to cost accounting across the enterprise, applying your manufacturing and ERP experience to build sustainable processes and drive continuous improvement.\nWork Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.\nYour Responsibilities:\nEstablish and maintain consistent cost accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting practices\nLead costing activities, including setting annual labor, variable overhead, and fixed overhead rates, reviewing manufacturing variances, and inventory valuation\nMonitor cost and inventory results, identify trends and issues, and partner with business teams to resolve root causes\nServe as a Finance subject matter expert for Oracle cost accounting and related manufacturing and inventory processes\nPartner across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Information Technology to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support Oracle system enhancements\nProvide analysis and insights into manufacturing costs, variances, inventory, and operational performance to support business decisions\nDevelop scalable cost accounting practices that can be leveraged as additional Taylor businesses transition to Oracle\nSupport financial close, financial controls, and internal and external audit requirements related to manufacturing costs and inventory\nYou Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in manufacturing cost accounting\nStrong knowledge of costing, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, material, labor, overhead, and period-end cost accounting\nDemonstrated experience developing, improving, or standardizing cost accounting processes\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting, process, data, and system issues\nDemonstrated ability to build effective partnerships across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Information Technology\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting and system concepts into practical business solutions\nWe Would Also Prefer\nExperience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and/or Oracle Cost Management\nExperience establishing or redesigning manufacturing cost accounting processes as part of an ERP implementation or transformation\nExperience supporting multiple manufacturing locations or business units\nCPA or CMA certification and/or MBA\nWhat Will Make You Successful: You bring the technical depth of an experienced manufacturing cost accounting professional while seeing beyond the numbers to the processes and systems that create them. You are comfortable getting into the details to solve a costing issue, but you can also step back and determine how the solution can become a better, more consistent way of working across the enterprise.\nYou are collaborative and curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and know how to build credibility across Finance and Operations. Most importantly, you see transformation as an opportunity to make things better, not simply different.\nThe anticipated annual salary for this position is $130,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
