Due to continued growth in the UK market, they are looking to appoint a technically strong and customer-focused Pre-Sales Engineer to support their expanding solar PV business.\nThe Role\nAs a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical expert supporting the UK sales team, EPC partners, developers, installers, and distribution partners throughout the sales cycle.\nYou will provide technical guidance on solar PV solutions, support system design activities, deliver customer presentations, and represent the business at industry events and conferences. This role requires a combination of strong engineering expertise, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical pre-sales support across the company’s solar PV product portfolio.\nSupport the sales team throughout customer engagements, tenders, and bid processes.\nEngage with EPCs, installers, developers, consultants, and distribution partners across the UK.\nDeliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.\nAssist customers with system design and product selection.\nReview project requirements and develop technical recommendations and solutions.\nRespond to technical enquiries, RFIs, and tender submissions.\nMaintain awareness of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity.\nRepresent the business at conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry events.\nCollaborate closely with internal engineering, product, and service teams.\nEssential Requirements\nStrong engineering background within the solar PV industry.\nExperience in a customer-facing technical role such as Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Product Engineer, or Solar Engineer.\nStrong understanding of solar PV systems and inverter technologies.\nExperience working with EPCs, installers, developers, consultants, or distribution partners.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to both technical and commercial audiences.\nComfortable delivering presentations at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.\nPreferred Requirements\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.\nExperience working for a solar inverter manufacturer or solar technology company.\nKnowledge of UK solar PV standards, regulations, and market dynamics.\nFamiliarity with PV design and modelling software such as PVsyst.\nExperience supporting Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Distributed Generation (DG) solar projects.\nSpanish language skills are highly desirable.\nKey Contact\nQuestions about this role?
