It’s time to look at Taylor.\nYour Opportunity:\nTaylor Visual Impressions is looking for a Press Operator to join our 1st shift team in Duluth, GA. In this role, you will operate digital printing equipment, monitor print quality, and help ensure production jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.\nWork Authorization:\nTo be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.\nYour Responsibilities:\nSet up and operate small-format digital printing equipment, including the HP Indigo 7k, according to job specifications\nReview work orders and verify stock, artwork, color requirements, and production quantities before beginning each job\nStart and run production jobs according to established schedules\nMonitor print quality throughout production, checking color consistency, registration, image quality, and accuracy against specifications\nIdentify print defects, equipment alarms, and mechanical issues, making adjustments or notifying Maintenance as needed\nPerform daily startup, shutdown, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance procedures\nComplete material changes while minimizing downtime and waste\nMeet established production standards for output, uptime, waste, spoilage, and quality\nMaintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and equipment maintenance records\nCoordinate with Prepress, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production\nFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling\nYour Shift:\n1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM\nYou Must Have:\n2+ years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipment\nExperience operating digital printing presses in a production environment\nExperience with color management, registration, and print quality inspection\nMechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues\nAbility to read and understand production work orders and technical specifications\nBasic computer skills for production software, job tracking, and reporting\nBasic math and measurement skills\nAbility to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departments\nAttention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines\nRequirements Within This Position:\nAbility to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand\nRegularly required to remain in a stationary position\nConstantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials\nFrequently required to move inside the facility\nRegularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying\nAbility to stand for extended periods\nWe Would Also Prefer:\nExperience with HP Indigo, HP PageWide, or similar small-format digital printing equipment\nExperience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturing\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S workplace organization\nAbout Taylor Corporation\nOne of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor’s family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
