It’s time to look at Taylor.\nYour Opportunity: CFS is looking for a hands on, growth minded Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help strengthen the way we operate.\nThis role is responsible for daily production performance, people leadership, staffing, quality, efficiency, and customer commitments. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who sees beyond today's production schedule and wants to understand how the entire business works.\nThe right person will be comfortable leading from the production floor, developing supervisors and employees, using data to make decisions, and working across departments to solve problems. This position provides exposure to the broader CFS operation and the opportunity to take on expanded leadership responsibilities as the individual demonstrates capability and the needs of the business evolve.\nWork Authorization: \nTo be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.\nYour Responsibilities:\n\nLead Production Operations\nOwn daily execution of the production schedule and customer commitments\nEstablish clear priorities and expectations across production areas and shifts\nMonitor production performance and respond quickly when results fall behind plan\nEnsure strong communication and effective handoffs between shifts\nProactively communicate and escalate risks that could affect customer commitments\nMaintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment\nDevelop People and Build Accountability\nLead, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees\nEstablish clear expectations and consistently follow through on commitments\nBuild cross training and backup coverage throughout the operation\nIdentify employee development opportunities and build future leaders\nCreate an environment where problems are identified and addressed early\nPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement\nManage Staffing and Capacity\nAlign staffing with production requirements and forecasted workload\nMake thoughtful decisions regarding overtime, temporary labor, hiring, and shift coverage\nUnderstand equipment and labor capacity and identify constraints before they affect service\nBuild operational flexibility through cross training and effective resource planning\nBalance productivity, cost, capacity, and customer requirements when making staffing decisions Drive Operational Performance\nReview production performance and identify gaps between planned and actual results\nMonitor productivity, labor utilization, quality, rework, downtime, and service performance\nUse data and root cause analysis to understand problems and develop sustainable corrective actions\nIdentify production bottlenecks and opportunities to improve workflow and throughput\nHold the organization accountable for maintaining improvements after problems are resolved\n\nImprove the Business\nChallenge processes that create unnecessary labor, complexity, delays, or rework\nBuild standard work and repeatable processes\nPromote Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles\nPartner with office, quality, engineering, maintenance, customer service, and other teams to improve overall business performance\nLook for opportunities to use technology, reporting, and automation to simplify work\nThink Beyond Production\nDevelop a strong understanding of CFS customers, products, workflows, and business requirements\nUnderstand how production decisions affect customer service, capacity, labor costs, and overall business performance\nParticipate in cross functional problem solving and business improvement initiatives\nBuild the ability to interpret operational and financial information and translate it into action\nDevelop strong working relationships throughout CFS and the broader Taylor organization\nTake ownership of business challenges that extend beyond traditional production responsibilities\nYou Must Have:\nDemonstrated experience leading people in a manufacturing environment\nStrong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills\nAbility to make decisions and establish priorities in a fast changing production environment\nAbility to use operational data and reporting to make sound decisions\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nAbility to work effectively across departments and with employees at all levels of the organization\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business systems\nWe Would Also Prefer:\nFive or more years of manufacturing or operations experience\nExperience leading supervisors or multiple production areas\nExperience with Lean, 5S, continuous improvement, or similar operating methods\nExperience with capacity planning, labor planning, or production scheduling\nBachelor's degree in operations, business, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience\nThe anticipated annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
