It’s time to look at Taylor.\nYour Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Production Manager for our Navitor Specialty Products facility in North Mankato, MN.\nWork Authorization: \nTo be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.\n Your Responsibilities:\nPlan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales order, meet customer requirements and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion\nManage the operations of the facility\nBalance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of production\nDirect and participate in process improvement events using a variety of tools to include Six Sigma and Lean\nPrepare annual budget and maintain proper plant expense ratios by eliminating waste, reducing expenses and promoting maximum efficiency\nRecruit and develop a group of well-trained employees including hourly employees, coordinators and team leaders for both the current needs of the department as well as future leadership roles within the company\nReview plant layout periodically and implement changes that provide for the most efficient flow of work, materials, and accessibility of equipment\nNegotiate and recommend major contract relationships (i.e. raw materials, ink, etc.); work with vendors of supplies regarding quality, service and errors; take appropriate action according to company policy\nMaintain a high level of morale among employees through effective leadership and communication\nProvide performance feedback regularly to develop others and motivate positive behaviors; conduct monthly one-on-ones with direct reports\nAssist and coach team leaders &/or employees with documentation and the handling of corrective action for employees with performance issues, up to and including termination\nRemove obstacles and obtain resources to help teams achieve objectives\nMaintain an equipment maintenance program and stock parts to increase efficiency and reduce “down” time\nEnsure a safe work environment for all employees by providing training, communication, and enforcement of all safety rules and regulations\nYou Must Have:\n5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, or equivalent combined\n3+ years in a leadership role\nKnowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and numerical data\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, sales representatives, employees and the general public\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations to printing jobs\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exist\nAbility to use experience and independent judgment to handle unique and sometimes complex situations\nAbility to provide and support a vision and direction; to develop and motivate a team along with strong interpersonal skills\nMust be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations\nMust be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications, along with MS office programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint\nWe Would Also Prefer:\nSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience\nPrinting experience, label printing experience is preferred\nThe anticipated annual salary range for this position is $86,000 - $96,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
