You will play a key role in advising on the regulatory framework applicable to a leading private markets platform while helping to further develop its compliance programme, governance processes and financial crime controls.\nKey Responsibilities\nRegulatory Advisory & Business Partnering\nAct as a trusted advisor on the Dutch and European regulatory framework applicable to alternative investment fund managers, translating regulatory requirements into practical, commercially workable solutions.\nYour remit will include:\nAIFMD and the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft)\nAML/CFT and customer due diligence requirements\nThe evolving European AML framework, including AMLR\nSanctions compliance\nAnti-bribery and corruption\nExport controls and dual-use regulations\nMarket abuse, conduct and governance requirements\nConflicts of interest and regulatory risk management\nYou will work closely with investment, legal, finance and investor relations stakeholders, supporting day-to-day matters, fundraising activities and broader strategic initiatives.\nCompliance Framework & Governance\nMaintain and enhance the firm’s compliance framework.\nDraft, review and implement policies, procedures and internal controls.\nSupport the annual compliance programme and compliance monitoring activities.\nConduct risk assessments and gap analyses.\nMonitor regulatory developments and coordinate implementation across the organisation.\nSupport governance processes and conflict of interest management.\nDeliver compliance training and awareness initiatives.\nFinancial Crime Compliance\nAdvise on AML, sanctions and anti-bribery requirements.\nSupport customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes.\nAssist with financial crime risk assessments and ongoing monitoring activities.\nSupport implementation of new AML and financial crime requirements.\nContribute to reporting and escalation procedures where appropriate.\nCandidate Profile\nApproximately 5-8 years of relevant experience gained within private equity, venture capital, asset management, trust & corporate services or a financial regulatory legal practice.\nA Master’s degree in Law or a related discipline.\nStrong knowledge of the Dutch and European regulatory framework applicable to alternative investment fund managers.\nHands-on experience with AIFMD, Wft and Wwft.\nExperience advising on AML/CFT, sanctions, customer due diligence, anti-bribery and corruption requirements.\nA track record of translating regulatory requirements into practical policies, procedures, controls and business processes.\nExperience operating within a regulated financial services environment.\nThe ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice while balancing regulatory obligations with commercial
