Operational Management & Efficiency\n\n Oversee\n and coordinate daily petroleum storage, handling, transportation and\n distribution activities.\n\n Ensure\n effective planning and optimal utilisation of manpower, vehicles,\n equipment and operational resources.\n\n Oversee\n activities between the depot, transport operations, filling stations and\n other operational departments.\n\n Ensure\n that timely execution of customer orders and reliable product deliveries.\n\n Identify\n operational bottlenecks, eliminate inefficiencies and implement practical\n solutions.\n\n Maintain\n operational readiness and minimise unnecessary downtime, delays and\n disruptions.\n\n2. Petroleum Storage & Inventory Control\n\n Oversee\n petroleum product handling, storage and inventory management procedures.\n\n Ensure\n accurate stock reconciliation and investigate inventory discrepancies.\n\n Monitor\n product losses, operational wastage and stock variances.\n\n Ensure\n adequate stock availability and coordinate replenishment requirements.\n\n Maintain\n strict controls over product quality, measurement and accountability.\n\n3. Transport & Fleet Performance\n\n Supervise\n efficient scheduling and utilisation of petroleum road tankers and\n delivery vehicles.\n\n Monitor\n vehicle availability, fleet utilisation, maintenance downtime and\n operating costs.\n\n Coordinate\n with the Garage Manager to ensure effective preventive maintenance and\n fleet reliability.\n\n Ensure\n compliance with applicable transport regulations, vehicle licensing and\n inspection requirements.\n\n Promote\n safe driving practices and efficient delivery operations.\n\n4. Health, Safety, Security & Environment\n(HSSE)\n\n Ensure\n strict adherence to company HSSE policies, petroleum handling procedures\n and applicable regulations.\n\n Promote\n a proactive safety culture and zero tolerance for deliberate or serious\n safety violations.\n\n Coordinate\n emergency preparedness, spill containment exercises and incident\n investigations with designated HSSE personnel.\n\n Ensure\n timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from\n incidents, inspections and audits.\n\n Maintain\n operational readiness for emergencies and ensure the protection of\n employees, customers, assets and the environment.\n\n5. Cost Control & Productivity\n\n Monitor\n operating expenditure and identify opportunities to improve cost\n efficiency.\n\n Optimise\n manpower deployment, transport scheduling and equipment utilisation.\n\n Reduce\n unnecessary overtime, operational wastage and avoidable maintenance costs.\n\n Work\n closely with Finance to monitor operational budgets and cost variances.\n\n Recommend\n improvements that enhance productivity without compromising safety,\n quality or service reliability.\n\n6. Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder\nCoordination\n\n Ensure\n compliance with applicable petroleum storage, transportation,\n environmental and operational regulations.\n\n Maintain\n effective working relationships with regulatory authorities, suppliers,\n contractors and customers.\n\n Coordinate\n operational inspections, audits and regulatory requirements with relevant\n departments.\n\n Ensure\n operational licences, permits and certifications remain valid in\n coordination with responsible personnel.\n\n Represent\n the company in operational matters when required.\n\n7. Performance Monitoring & Continuous\nImprovement\n\n Establish\n and monitor operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\n\n Prepare\n weekly operational performance reports highlighting achievements,\n challenges and corrective actions.\n\n Identify\n opportunities to improve processes, introduce appropriate technology and\n eliminate inefficiencies.\n\n Promote\n effective use of ERP systems, operational reporting tools and digital\n solutions.\n\n Implement\n agreed improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.\n\n8. Leadership & Operational Accountability\n\n Supervise,\n guide and coordinate operational teams to achieve agreed performance\n objectives.\n\n Ensure\n clear allocation of responsibilities and accountability across operational\n functions.\n\n Promote\n teamwork, discipline, professionalism, and continuous staff development.\n\n Remain\n available to respond to operational emergencies and attend operational\n sites whenever required.\n\n Report\n significant operational risks, incidents and performance issues promptly\n to management.\n\n Exercise\n operational authority within approved company policies, budgets and\n delegated limits.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\n\n Diploma\n or degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics, Supply Chain\n Management,\n\n Relevant\n HSSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH or equivalent, would be an advantage.\n\n Proven\n experience in petroleum logistics, fuel distribution, transport\n operations, industrial operations or a comparable environment.\n\n Experience\n managing operational teams, equipment, budgets and performance.\n\n Sound\n understanding of HSSE requirements and operational risk management.\n\n Proficiency\n in ERP systems, logistics management applications, Microsoft Excel and\n operational reporting.\n\nKEY COMPETENCIES\n\n Strong\n leadership and operational management capabilities.\n\n Operations Manager will report directly to the Managing\nDirector and will have operational oversight of logistics, transport,\nfleet, garage, depot, storage and filling-station activities.\n\nThe
