This is a broad in-house role providing commercial, regulatory and general legal advice to local stakeholders, while working closely with a regional Legal and Compliance team.\nKey Responsibilities\nDraft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including sales, supply, procurement, services, logistics and project-related contracts.\nProvide day-to-day legal and regulatory advice to the business on commercial matters, disputes, governance, compliance and operational issues.\nIdentify and manage legal and regulatory risks, including supporting internal policies, training and governance initiatives.\nPartner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, procurement, finance, HR, projects and other corporate functions.\nMonitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and manage external counsel where specialist support is required.\nRequirements\nMalaysia-qualified lawyer with approximately 5+ years’ PQE gained in private practice and/or an in-house environment.\nStrong general corporate and commercial experience, with exposure to regulatory matters and/or dispute resolution advantageous.\nExperience supporting a complex operational or industrial business environment would be advantageous.\nStrong drafting, analytical and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently and provide practical, commercially focused advice.\nFluent English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language capabilities would be advantageous.
