We are partnering with a highly regarded professional services firm seeking a Senior Governance & Risk Analyst to join its established Governance & Risk team.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone currently operating at Senior Analyst level who is keen to broaden their management responsibilities while gaining exposure to a varied, business-facing risk and compliance role.\nThe Opportunity\nJoining a collaborative and high-performing Governance & Risk function, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the firm’s risk management and compliance framework. The position combines team leadership, advisory responsibilities, regulatory compliance, information security, quality management, and project work.\nYou will act as a trusted adviser across the business, supporting colleagues on a wide range of compliance matters whilst helping to foster a strong culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and support junior members of the Governance & Risk team, providing guidance on complex compliance matters and overseeing day-to-day workflow.\nManage frontline risk and compliance queries, ensuring timely, practical and commercially focused advice.\nAdvise on a broad range of regulatory and compliance issues, including:AML and client due diligence\nConflicts of interest\nProfessional conduct matters\nData protection and GDPR\nRegulatory compliance requirements\n\nOversee key compliance processes, including information barriers, data subject access requests, declarations of interest, and related governance activities.\nMonitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing changes across the business.\nSupport the maintenance of quality and information security management systems and associated accreditations.\nConduct policy reviews, audits, and compliance monitoring activities.\nDeliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across the organisation.\nBuild strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to promote a positive compliance culture.\nPrepare reports, committee papers, and management information for senior stakeholders.\nContribute to wider firm-wide risk, governance, and compliance projects.\nSupport insurance renewal processes and other strategic risk initiatives.\nAbout You\nWe are keen to speak with candidates who have:\nProven experience within a Risk & Compliance function in a law firm or professional services environment.\nStrong knowledge of AML regulations, GDPR, conflicts management, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nExperience handling complex compliance and professional conduct queries.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.\nA proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make risk-based decisions.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.\nPrevious supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous.\nPlease note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide.
