This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced legal risk professional to take on a broad advisory role with exposure to complex regulatory, compliance, and professional conduct matters across a global business.\nThe Opportunity\nReporting into senior Risk & Compliance leadership, you will play a key role in advising the firm on a wide range of legal risk and regulatory issues. Working closely with lawyers, business services teams, and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure the firm maintains the highest standards of professional and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.\nThis role offers significant variety, combining advisory work, policy development, regulatory monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and strategic risk management. It is ideally suited to a qualified lawyer with law firm risk experience who enjoys providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdvise on a broad range of risk and compliance matters, including:Professional conduct and ethics\nRegulatory compliance\nConflicts of interest\nAnti-money laundering and sanctions\nData protection and privacy\nClient and third-party contractual terms\nEmerging legal and regulatory risks, including AI governance\n\nPartner with legal and business services teams to provide practical and commercially focused risk advice.\nMonitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.\nDraft, review, and update policies, procedures, and guidance to reflect regulatory and legislative changes.\nSupport the implementation of risk management initiatives across the organisation.\nMaintain compliance registers and monitoring frameworks.\nWork closely with senior compliance stakeholders on strategic risk matters.\nDeliver training and awareness sessions to colleagues across the business.\nSupport audits, reviews, investigations, and other risk-related projects as required.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of the firm’s risk and compliance framework.\nAbout You\nWe are keen to speak with candidates who have:\nQualified Lawyer status (England & Wales preferred).\nApproximately 6-10 years’ PQE.\nPrevious experience within the Risk & Compliance function of an international law firm.\nStrong knowledge of professional conduct requirements, legal ethics, and regulatory obligations within the legal sector.\nExperience advising on AML, sanctions, conflicts, confidentiality, privilege, and data protection matters.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nThe ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice while balancing commercial and regulatory considerations.\nStrong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.\nHigh levels of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.\nExperience delivering training and working with senior stakeholders.\nExperience handling complaints and professional indemnity matters would be advantageous.\nPlease note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide.
