Mechanical Supervisor is responsible to coordinate and work with the team on the mechanical & aircon maintenance in relation to the day-to-day operations aspects including ad hoc special projects for Taylor’s University to achieve profit targets and to optimise the service delivery standard for its stake holders and customers, prioritizing on maintenance, routine schedules and overall facilities support.\nKEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo monitor and carry out the daily operations of the campus through good practices and effective control systems.\nTo ensure all mechanical and air-con units such as split units, VRF units and chilled water units are operating efficiently\nTo respond to complaints & break downs to ensure downtime is always minimized.\nTo verify, complete and submit daily checklist and ensure facilities are functioning safely and properly.\nTo provide ideas, work well with team members to ensure optimal efficiency.\nTo assist benchmark facilities operating costs efficiency amongst Group facilities & industry.\nTo provide monthly management updates current job concerns, challenges and improvements\nTo implement preventive maintenance for the efficient upkeep of the campus grounds\nTo ensure all administration and procedures meet company standard operating procedures, contractual and ISO requirements.\nTo maximise the building value by implementing proper repair and maintenance works.\nTo minimise energy losses and to ensure safe efficient working of all electrical and mechanical equipment.\nConduct conditional appraisal of general maintenance related assets.\nProvide any other facilities management support as required by the institutions within the group.\nTo support regular assessment & audit to ensure all facilities / equipment are all well maintained and good working condition.\nAssist in any other duties which may be assigned by the Vice President of Facilities Management Operations, ESH & security and Administration.\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS\nMinimum Qualification\nDiploma in Electro/Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering certification\nRelated qualification in Facilities Management and Energy Management will be an added advantage.\nRelated Experience\nMinimum 5 years of working experience in building general maintenance works\nRelated experience in the services industry such as in the hospitality, education, leisure, healthcare and banking.\nKnowledge and experience in implementing Engineering Standards.\nCompetencies\nGood interpersonal skills with strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities.\nAble to work independently with minimum supervision.\nCompetent command in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.\nAble to carry out quality control checks and determine root cause of problem.\nProficient in Microsoft Office\nGood attention to detail.\nAbility to work on own initiatives and to operate under tight schedules and deadlines.\nKnowledgeable and experienced in air-con systems\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nHighly skilled in mechanical & air-con maintenance works.\nStrong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities.\nPossess knowledge in practical work process procedures.\nFamiliar with local building by-laws and structural requirements\nFamiliar with energy conservation directives\nKnowledge in green building technology would be an added advantage\nAble to read and interpret engineering drawings would be an added advantage\nAbility to plan and set priorities and deadlines.\nAble to handle large volumes of work while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.\nAttitude to change, build and grow the department and organisation\nKnowledge in sustainable long-term initiatives such as solar, rainwater harvesting would be an added
