The role works closely with academics to redesign modules, integrate active learning pedagogies, develop AI-enabled learning experiences, and enhance student engagement across the complete One Learning Arc (before, during and after class). He/she also contributes to institutional innovation, faculty capability development and continuous improvement through learning analytics, educational research and scalable learning design frameworks.\nKEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES\nPartner with schools and faculties to redesign modules using HyFlex principles, active learning pedagogies, and AI-enhanced learning experiences that improve student engagement and learning outcomes.\nCollaborate closely with discipline experts to design learner-centered experiences, translating programme learning outcomes into effective learning activities, formative assessments, and authentic learning journeys.\nDesign and develop faculty-specific HyFlex learning frameworks, templates, and learning pathways.\nDesign learning activities and assessments that appropriately integrate Agentic AI to support preparation, practice, feedback, reflection, and personalised learning.\nDevelop and implement AI-supported formative assessment strategies, including adaptive learning activities, reflective learning, case variations, oral defense preparation, and personalised feedback approaches.\nAdvise and support academics in the responsible, ethical, and effective use of AI technologies in teaching, learning, and assessment, in accordance with institutional policies and best practices.\nDesign learning experiences that effectively incorporate active learning pedagogies such as Project-Based Learning, Team-Based Learning (TBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Case-Based Learning, Clinical Simulation, Lab-Based Learning, Studio-Based Learning, and other discipline-specific approaches.\nReview and continuously enhance existing modules and learning experiences using student feedback, learning analytics, educational research, and evidence-informed practice to improve learning effectiveness and student success.\nCollaborate with Taylor's Digital to leverage learning technologies, AI platforms, and digital learning tools, and contribute to interpreting learning analytics and recommending improvements to learning design.\nIdentify opportunities to improve student engagement, participation, and personalised learning by analysing learning data and recommending appropriate pedagogical interventions.\nSupport the Head of e-Learning Academy in developing reusable learning design resources, HyFlex templates, AI implementation guides, and best practice exemplars to support consistent adoption across faculties.\nConduct academic consultations, workshops, and capability-building programmes to strengthen staff competency in HyFlex learning, active learning pedagogies, AI-enhanced teaching, and assessment transformation.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of e-Learning Academy or higher management.\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nThe Senior HyFlex Learning Designer will be expected to acquire/demonstrate the following competencies:\nProficiency in learning technologies and educational software used to design, develop and deliver HyFlex, AI-enhanced and digitally enabled learning experiences.\nStrong understanding of learning sciences, learning design, instructional design, learning experience design, and evidence-based pedagogies applicable across diverse higher education disciplines.\nSound knowledge of HyFlex Learning principles, active learning pedagogies, formative assessment strategies, and learner-centered curriculum design.\nAbility to design and integrate Agentic AI, personalised learning approaches, and emerging educational technologies to enhance student learning while promoting responsible AI practices.\nUnderstanding of learning analytics and the ability to interpret learner engagement data to inform continuous improvement of teaching, learning and assessment.\nStrong project management, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple learning design projects and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.\nExcellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to effectively consult, collaborate and build partnerships with academics, faculties and institutional stakeholders.\nStrong problem-solving, critical thinking and innovation skills to develop practical, scalable and discipline-appropriate learning solutions.\nStrong commitment to collaboration, continuous professional development, and achieving measurable improvements in student learning outcomes and academic capability.\nJOB SPECIFICATION\nMinimum Qualification\nThe position is open to candidates with learning design experience, and experience in education (tutoring, teaching, etc.) is a plus.\nPossess a recognized master's degree (degree holder might be considered based on their background) in any relevant field, for example: Education, English/TESL, Instructional Design and Technology, Multimedia Design and Development, discipline based (Computer Science, Software Engineering etc).\nCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)\nKnowledge\nSound knowledge of learning design, instructional design, learning experience design, and learning sciences in higher education.\nStrong understanding of HyFlex Learning principles, active learning pedagogies, formative assessment, and learner-centered curriculum design.\nKnowledge of Agentic AI, personalised learning, learning analytics, and emerging educational technologies that support teaching and learning.\nUnderstanding of responsible AI practices, academic integrity, and institutional policies relating to AI-enabled teaching and assessment.\nKnowledge of digital learning platforms, educational technologies, and AI tools used to support learning design and student engagement.\nAwareness of quality assurance standards, curriculum design principles, and regulatory requirements applicable to higher education programmes.\nSkills\nExcellent learning design and instructional design skills to develop engaging, learner-centered, and outcomes-based learning experiences.\nStrong consultation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills when working with academics, faculties, and
