Connect to what matters.\nThe Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting project cost performance throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports Project Managers and key stakeholders by providing accurate and timely cost information, identifying trends and variances, evaluating risks and changes, and developing reliable forecasts to support effective business decisions.\nThe position requires a strong understanding of project controls, cost engineering, forecasting, budgeting, change management, earned value, cost and schedule integration, and project accounting. The individual will work closely with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure that actual costs, commitments, changes, risks, contingency, and schedule impacts are appropriately reflected in the project forecast.\nWhat you’ll do\nReview and report project performance using variance analysis, trend analysis, and earned value performance to evaluate the cost and schedule performance over time. \nMonitor project data, performing analysis and identifying trends; providing timely advice on impact of changes, modifications, or alternatives to drive key business decisions. \nLead the forecast for project completion costs, including productivity measurements, labor rate analysis, commitments, management of change, schedule impacts, material cost variance, contract changes, and invoice payments.\nResponsible for the preparation of regular project reports ensuring variances, incurred, committed, and forecasted costs are properly explained and communicated to the project team.\nDevelop and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).\nTrack use of contingency, management reserve, and approved changes to project budget\nCollaborate with Project Manager and team to review data and define construction cost tracking to ensure commitments, schedule requirements, and risk items are accurately represented in the project forecast and linked to the schedule.\nSupport the Project Manager by providing financial reporting requirements for bidding, during contract selection and administration of the contracts.\nIn-depth understanding of contract requirements for billing, issue requisitions and assist in invoice reviews and payment approvals.\nLead project audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and processes.\nIdentify opportunities for improvement to forecasting and other project cost control methodologies and document as lessons learned.\nStrategic planning, budget reviews and risk analysis with upper management.\nMaintain project forecast and cost flow in SAP.\nWork with Supply Chain to ensure all incurred costs are up-to-date and ensure contracts are coded appropriately to the project.\nAdhoc reports to support request from different departments of the company. \nMinimum qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required. \n3 - 6 years of related experience.\nProven working knowledge of project control functions and processes, including planning / scheduling, cost estimating, cost control, change management, financial, and project accounting processes and systems.\nResults oriented with sound problem-solving skills and an aptitude for attention to detail and accuracy.\nExcellent analytical skills; must have ability to gather and analyze data to make informed and sound decisions and recommendations as appropriate.\nFluent in English is Mandatory. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. \nPreferred qualifications\nProject Experience ranging from $ 3M to $ 50M.\nKnowledgeable and experienced with cost engineering principles and methods including budgeting and forecasting, change management, management systems/procedures, Cost and Work Breakdown Structures, Earned Value Systems and contingency management EPC and/or Owner experience.\nWorking knowledge of how to recognize and evaluate risks, hazards, losses and their cost impact and how to assess the relationship between cost and schedule data.\nStrong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required; organizational skills and attention to detail are required. \nExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including ability to deliver presentations and communicate effectively with at various levels. \nKnowledge of SAP or other ERP. \nDesirable knowledge project control system.
