Connect to what matters.\n\nThe Opportunity\nOur Damage Prevention Implementation Team is looking to add a dedicated individual to help deliver and continuously improve the Damage Prevention Program through out the US and CA.\nWe are seeking a motivated Engineer with knowledge or experience in damage prevention program components, such as Unauthorized Activity (UA) management, Depth of Cover (DOC), signage management, brushing, leak detection, and aerial patrols. The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting program deliverables, field projects, and budgets, a willingness to learn and grow, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal operations and stakeholders.\nWhat you’ll do\nImplement and maintain Damage Prevention sub-program procedures and standards, and recommend opportunities to improve them\nPrepare and track budgets, forecasts, and project execution plans for assigned program areas\nInvestigate Unauthorized Activities, contribute to incident reviews, prepare regulatory reports, and track corrective actions to closure\nPartner with Regulatory, Integrity Engineering, Operations, GIS, and external stakeholders, and help facilitate working sessions and program reviews\nEvaluate new technologies, analytics, and assessment methods, and support their implementation to improve program effectiveness\nMinimum Qualifications\nA bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering\n2 to 6 years of engineering or equivalent experience\nOther combinations of education and work experience may be considered\nRegistered, or eligible to register, with APEGA as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing (Canada candidates only)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience or exposure to pipeline damage prevention, ground disturbance and crossings, pipeline integrity, or related engineering programs\nFamiliarity with Canadian (CSA Z662, CER) and U.S. (PHMSA, state 811) damage prevention requirements\nExperience applying risk-based assessment methods and working with GIS, LiDAR, survey, and patrol data to identify threats and help prioritize work\nProject or program support experience, including budget tracking, scope development, execution planning, and contributing to procedures and standards\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, including building positive relationships with internal teams and external partners, and explaining technical information clearly to a range of audiences\nTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-Hybrid\nAbout our business\nWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
