Connect to what matters.\nThe Opportunity\nThe Engineering Quality Advisor is a subject matter expert who provides independent assurance of engineering activities, leads complex investigations and improvement initiatives, and advances quality culture and performance across projects and functional groups. The role provides assurance, expertise, and guidance to help project teams deliver engineering services in compliance with quality management requirements, professional obligations, applicable standards, and project expectations.\nWhat you'll do\nQuality Assurance\nDevelop engineering quality strategies, programs, and practices, and provide assurance expertise.\nReview engineering quality requirements and advise on quality expectations for Engineering Service Provider (ESP) contracts.\nPromote compliance with professional engineering requirements and the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP).\nServe as the Quality Subject Matter Expert in Project Delivery System (PDS) assurance reviews.\nDevelop and implement risk-based quality surveillance and assurance plans.\nAssess the effectiveness of quality controls and management systems used by engineering service providers.\nVerify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.\nLead quality audits and assessments of Engineering Service Providers (ESPs), contractors, and engineering organizations.\nAssess the effectiveness of engineering quality management systems and controls.\nSupport project teams in evaluating Engineering Service Provider quality performance.\nAssist Project Quality Advisors with audits and assessments as needed.\nReview Engineering Service Provider and project quality plans, along with related quality documentation.\nNon-Conformance Management and Continuous Improvement\nInitiate, investigate, validate, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs).\nLead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and support corrective and preventive action implementation.\nEvaluate engineering quality issues, identify systemic trends, and recommend sustainable improvements.\nDevelop lessons learned and process improvements to strengthen engineering execution and quality performance.\nEnsure corrective and preventive actions are developed and implemented promptly.\nTrack quality issues to closure and verify sustained effectiveness.\nAnalyze quality data to identify recurring trends, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.\nFacilitate lessons learned sessions and advance continuous improvement across engineering organizations.\nData Analysis and Reporting\nMonitor, analyze, and report data on NCRs, audits, and quality performance.\nIdentify trends and recurring issues that affect engineering quality.\nTranslate quality data into clear reports, dashboards, and actionable recommendations for leadership.\nLead quality improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, compliance, and project outcomes.\nSupport efforts to identify and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).\nEngineering Service Provider Oversight\nSupport the qualification and ongoing evaluation of engineering suppliers and service providers.\nCollaborate with Supply Chain and project teams on engineering quality requirements and supplier performance trends.\nMonitor engineering consultant and contractor quality performance, identifying where intervention or support is needed.\nStakeholder Engagement\nBuild and sustain effective relationships with engineering and project teams, Project Quality Advisors, and engineering service providers.\nCoordinate communications on engineering quality issues, lessons learned, and improvement initiatives.\nFacilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve engineering quality concerns and reinforce a strong quality culture.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering\nISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification\nMinimum 8 years of experience in quality management, project delivery, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or related fields.\nExperience in engineering quality management, audits, supplier oversight, and quality assurance programs.\nQuality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 principles.\nEngineering governance and professional practice requirements.\nAudit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.\nRoot Cause Analysis methodologies.\nNon-Conformance and Corrective Action Management.\nRisk-based thinking and quality assurance principles.\nStatistical analysis and quality performance reporting.\nStrong communication, facilitation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nData analysis, trend evaluation, and performance reporting.\nStakeholder engagement and facilitation.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to influence without direct authority across multiple teams and functions.\nContinuous improvement and problem-solving expertise.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality management systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.\nISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.\nFormal Root Cause Analysis training.\n Experience in the energy, pipeline, facilities,
