Connect to what matters.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Project Manager you will be a key contributor to the management of facilities regulated programs to achieve reliable operation and continuous improvement of all assets located within TC Energy's Canadian pipeline systems.\nThe Project Manager is an individual contributor who will work closely with other internal and external stakeholders, including Canada Gas Operations, Integrated Planning, and Engineering, to plan, organize and execute the facilities regulated programs. In this role, we will rely on you to provide strong technical, project management, organizational, and communication skills and to develop the knowledge of our systems, processes and tools required to plan and execute the program.\nPlease Note: These positions will require travel to various company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home.\nWhat you’ll do\nSupervise and manage General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects for process safety critical equipment, including turbocompressor equipment and auxiliary systems, balance of plant equipment\nOversee various maintenance projects to ensure all applicable regulatory and corporate requirements are met.\nPerform time and cost management of the programs and projects, including budgets and schedules, managing project cost change control and variance reporting of cost, scope and schedule and risk\nProvide bi-weekly and monthly updates on project performance metrics\nDirect and manage the work of external consultants and contractors\nEffectively collaborate with the internal stakeholders' and understand their expectations and expert contributions and how they can contribute to the program or project success\nOptimize and align field resources to support field implementation\nIdentify data integrity improvements and cost savings through analysis of the program\nSupport the development and implementation of TC Energy’s project management tools, standards and processes to support the implementation of regulated programs within Canada\nIdentify opportunities for value creation and efficiency improvements to reduce overall project costs\nMinimum qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering \n10 years of related project management experience\nFamiliarity with project management principles and practices\nProficient in PC-based computer systems and software applications with an emphasis on SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Master Plan. and Project\nProven ability to embrace and lead change and quickly understand new processes and related issues\nPreferred qualifications\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an asset\nRegistered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA and in good standing.\nAbility to influence and exercise leadership without formal authority\nLeadership skills in delegation, negotiation, communication and consensus building to coordinate work to meet objectives\nThis position requires candidates to:\nHave and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract for review\nTravel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home (up to 25%)\nAbout our business\nWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
