Connect to what matters.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking an early-career Reservoir Engineer to support the integrity, performance, and capacity of company-operated underground natural gas storage assets. As part of Gas Storage Reservoir Engineering & Geosciences, you will work alongside experienced reservoir engineers and geoscientists to analyze reservoir and well performance, support integrity programs, and contribute to technical studies that help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient storage operations.\nThis developmental role offers broad exposure to gas storage reservoir engineering, inventory verification, well surveillance, deliverability analysis, integrity management, field operations, commercial operations, and regulatory requirements. The position emphasizes application of engineering fundamentals, analytical problem solving, collaboration, continuous learning, and progressively greater responsibility as technical knowledge and experience develop.\nWhat You'll Do\nReservoir Performance and Surveillance\nSupport reservoir performance monitoring and analysis for assigned storage fields under the guidance of experienced engineers.\nAssist with the planning and interpretation of shut-in tests, flow tests, pressure surveys, pressure transient tests, deliverability tests, fluid sampling, and other surveillance activities.\nContribute to stored gas inventory verification, pressure-volume and back-pressure relationship analysis, material balance or volumetric evaluations, and deliverability assessments.\nSupport preparation of capacity and deliverability forecasts and technical analyses used to inform seasonal operating plans.\nMaintain clear calculations, supporting data, assumptions, and technical documentation for assigned engineering work.\nReservoir and Well Integrity\nSupport the development and maintenance of reservoir and well Risk Management Plans (RMPs).\nAssist with review and analysis of casing, cement, completion, pressure, and other well integrity information.\nParticipate in reservoir and well integrity assessments and help evaluate potential mitigations, including workovers, stimulation, monitoring, or operating-envelope changes.\nContribute technical analysis and documentation that support safe and reliable operation of storage assets.\nApply established RE&G standards, procedures, and engineering practices to assigned work.\nRegulatory Compliance and Documentation\nSupport preparation and maintenance of engineering reports, calculations, technical records, and integrity documentation.\nAssist with regulatory reviews, audits, and assessments by gathering, validating, organizing, and explaining assigned technical information.\nComplete work products that are accurate, traceable, reviewable, and consistent with record-retention requirements.\nDevelop familiarity with applicable gas storage regulations, integrity programs, and internal requirements.\nCross-Functional Project Support\nCollaborate with Reservoir Engineering, Geosciences, Field Operations, Commercial Operations, Integrity, and Well Engineering & Technology (WET) personnel on technical activities and projects.\nSupport planning and post-job evaluation for well testing, workovers, stimulations, plug and abandonment activities, and other field work.\nProvide assigned analyses and observations for technical reviews and project discussions, with recommendations reviewed by experienced engineers.\nParticipate in field visits and project teams to build understanding of storage assets, well operations, and business needs.\nData Quality and Continuous Improvement\nUse engineering and data-management systems to support analysis, reporting, and record-retention activities.\nAssist with maintaining data quality in systems such as Peloton WellView, RigView, and the Storage Data Centre.\nSupport development of reports, visualizations, and analytical tools used to assess reservoir performance and integrity.\nIdentify and communicate opportunities to improve data quality, engineering workflows, and reporting processes.\nProfessional Development\nDevelop technical expertise through project assignments, mentorship, training, peer review, and field exposure.\nSeek guidance and incorporate feedback from experienced engineers and geoscientists.\nProgressively handle assignments of greater technical complexity and independence as capability develops.\nContribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, curiosity, and continuous learning.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Geological, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.\nTypically two or more years of relevant engineering experience.\nDemonstrated ability to apply engineering fundamentals, analyze technical data, document assumptions, and solve problems in a structured manner.\nStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and work under appropriate technical guidance.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments, meet commitments, and adapt to changing priorities.\nValid driver's license and safe driving record.\nAbility to work extended hours or days when business or operational needs require.\nAbility to travel to field locations, company offices, meetings, training, and temporary assignments, including occasional overnight stays.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience or internship exposure in natural gas storage, reservoir engineering, production engineering, subsurface operations, well operations, or a related area.\nFamiliarity with well testing, pressure transient analysis, deliverability analysis, material balance, volumetrics, or reservoir performance evaluation.\nExposure to integrity management programs, risk assessment processes, compliance activities, or auditable engineering
