Connect to what matters.\nThe Opportunity\nThis position reports to the Manager, Accounting Business Support, providing both working-level supervision to Analysts on the Accounting Business Support team, as well as hands-on design, build and support of Consolidation and Planning BPC modules.\nThe individual needs to have strong Accounting and Information System backgrounds and be able to work seamlessly with both Accounting and Information Systems teams.\nWe are looking for someone who can handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines, mentor and coordinate staff, and be an analytical problem-solver who values collaboration, while demonstrating exemplary customer service.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop an in-depth understanding of TC Energy’s Consolidation and Planning processes\nTake a lead role in working with our customers to determine how to appropriately use the consolidation system to represent complex financial transactions, including projects involving acquisitions and divestitures\nEnsure the reliability of our Consolidation and Planning systems and processes.\nRespond to the requirements of external auditors with respect to accounting and reporting queries\nMentor junior members of the team\nSpecial projects and ad hoc analysis as required\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related discipline\nMinimum of 10 years or more of progressive, related experience\nA combination of education and experience may be considered \nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA designation\nA good understanding of SAP ECC FICO modules\nKnowledge of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting\nKeen attention to detail\nKnowledge of U.S. GAAP or other recognized accounting standards\nInterest in technology trends and drive for continuous improvement\nAbility to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple priorities and minimal supervision\nAbility to identify creative options in situations with high ambiguity\nSuperior SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) skills\nSuperior SAP BPC skill\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication skills\nStrong Excel skills\nTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-Hybrid\nAbout our business\nWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
