Experienced Fleet Body Shop Technician 2
TCI Maintenance is Expanding and is looking for an Experienced Body Shop Technician!
Shift: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: $30.01 - $38.00 depending on experience
TCI Maintenance is seeking a highly motivated and qualified applicant to fill the position of Experienced Body Shop Technician at our Fontana, California location.
Position Overview
Technician Body Shop II with minimal supervision will perform major truck and trailer component repair or replacement. Estimate vehicles for repairs, tear down for inspection, complete repairs in a timely manner. Minimize re-work as much as possible. Assist Technician Body Shop Level 1 if needed. Technicians are measured on their efficiency to complete quality repairs in time standards.
Major Responsibilities:
Diagnose and estimate collision repair on cab assemblies, trailers, bobtails.
Use PPE required for job.
Composite Repair/Bonding Repair accident related damages to Heating/Air Conditioning Systems.
Diagnose and Repair/Replace mechanical systems/parts or equipment related to collision.
Must be qualified to repair/replace frame/structural assemblies on damaged trucks.
Ability to refinish repairs using clear coat basecoat/single stage paint system Surface Preparation.
Complete understanding of refinish process and proper use of materials.
Fiberglass Repair and Box Repair/Replacement Suspension Repair/Alignment
Electrical/Brake/Cooling System experience for collision repair/replacement.
Welding/Fabricating.
Other duties as instructed by Supervisor
We measure our body shop technicians on their efficiency to complete quality repairs in time standards.
All employees required to follow OSHA Federal,State,Local regulatory and environmental laws.
Job Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years’ experience to be considered an experienced Bodyshop technician.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Vocational/technical school preferred
Specialized training and experience in the repair/refinish of all series of truck and trailer preferred
Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools) required
Valid Drivers license required, CDL with brake endorsements preferred or have the ability to obtain
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
