This role will focus on translating business needs into effective data solutions, with responsibility for requirements gathering, data modelling, data mapping, lineage, data quality, and supporting data integration.\nThe successful candidate will bring a strong combination of technical and business knowledge, ideally within Personal Banking, and will work closely with business, technology, development, and quality assurance teams. You will be comfortable navigating complex data challenges, working with large datasets, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Accountabilities\nGather and translate business data requirements into clear technical specifications for data ingestion, curation, and consumption.\nDesign and maintain data models using industry-standard modelling tools.\nAnalyze, profile, validate, and map source data to support integration into data platforms and warehouses.\nDocument current- and future-state data flows, data mappings, business rules, and technical decisions.\nDefine and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage in alignment with enterprise standards and tools.\nInvestigate data quality and integrity issues, identify root causes, and partner with development teams to implement solutions.\nCollaborate with business, technology, development, and quality assurance teams throughout design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.\nParticipate in business and technical design reviews to ensure data solutions support business and operational requirements.\nApply data governance, security, retention, and risk management requirements throughout the data lifecycle.\nSupport change and release activities and clearly communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders.\nContribute to continuous improvement and share data expertise and best practices across the team.\nRequired Experience\n2+ years of relevant experience in data design, data analysis, business information management, data engineering, or a related field.\nHands-on experience with data modelling, data mapping, data lineage, and requirements gathering.\nStrong SQL skills and experience working with ETL/data integration processes.\nExperience analyzing and working with large and complex datasets.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigating and resolving data quality issues.\nExperience translating business requirements into technical data requirements and solutions.\nAbility to work independently across multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nUndergraduate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nProficiency in at least one programming language.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with Python and/or PySpark.\nExperience with Azure Databricks.\nKnowledge of Canadian Personal Banking products, processes, and data.\nExperience with enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools.\nExperience supporting data solutions through development, testing, implementation, and production support.\nExperience working with big data technologies and modern data platforms.\nExperience leading a workstream or contributing to complex, multi-team data initiatives.\nWho We Are:\nTD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
