This role will provide technical and people leadership while helping deliver a critical 2-3-year technology roadmap for Canadian Personal Banking.\nYou will combine strong data engineering expertise with people leadership, partnering across Technology and the business to deliver scalable, reliable solutions aligned with enterprise standards and evolving industry practices.\nKey Accountabilities\nLead, coach and develop a team of Data Engineers and Technology Specialists, including hiring, performance management, succession planning and career development.\nProvide technical leadership across the design, development, implementation and ongoing support of data engineering solutions.\nLead delivery of key engineering initiatives supporting the Canadian Personal Banking technology roadmap.\nDrive engineering best practices, including automation across build, test, release and configuration activities.\nPartner with Technology, Operations and business teams to identify opportunities, resolve complex issues and deliver solutions that meet business needs.\nProvide technical guidance to ensure solutions align with technology strategies, enterprise standards and industry practices.\nManage resources, priorities, project milestones and delivery risks to keep work on schedule and aligned with established plans.\nBuild strong relationships with stakeholders and provide clear updates and recommendations to senior and executive leaders.\nStay current on emerging technologies, engineering trends and relevant regulatory requirements, assessing their potential impact.\nFoster an inclusive, collaborative and continuous-learning environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.\nExperience\n7+ years of relevant technology and engineering experience.\nExperience leading and developing engineering or technology teams.\nStrong data engineering background with hands-on expertise in PySpark, Python and SQL.\nExperience designing and delivering ETL/data pipelines using Azure Databricks.\nStrong understanding of engineering practices, frameworks, tools and development processes.\nExperience leading complex technology initiatives and working across business and technology teams.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, including experience communicating technical concepts and recommendations to senior leaders.\nUniversity or post-graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.\nStrong understanding of personal banking products and the Canadian banking environment.\nExperience delivering large-scale data or technology solutions in a financial services environment.\nExperience driving engineering automation and continuous improvement.\nExperience working with technology vendors and evaluating new tools, frameworks and approaches.\nWho We Are:\nTD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
