Job Description:

Role mandate: Own the TD Securities Operational Risk Event Program and provide independent oversight and effective challenge over the identification, capture, assessment, escalation, reporting and closure of operational risk events.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role within TD Securities Operational Risk Management (TDSORM). You will lead the Operational Risk Event Program and serve as the TDSORM 2ndline oversight lead for designated portfolios. Working directly with senior business leaders, you will influence key risk decisions, identify emerging themes and strengthen how operational risk is understood, managed and reported.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the TD Securities Operational Risk Event Program, including governance, standards, training, reporting and continuous improvement.

  • Provide independent oversight and effective challenge of significant operational risk events, including impact assessments, root causes, control failures, remediation and closure.

  • Turn event data into clear insights on recurring themes, systemic control weaknesses, emerging risks and potential risk appetite implications.

  • Act as the TDSORM lead for assigned complex or global,portfolios and build trusted relationships with senior business leaders.

  • Deliver concise, decision-useful reporting to senior management and risk committees, and escalate material matters through the appropriate governance channels.

  • Partner with business, control and enterprise stakeholders to drive consistent execution and practical program enhancements.

  • Provide thought leadership, coaching and mentorship across TD Securities Operational Risk Management and the broader stakeholder community.

What You Bring

  • Capital Markets experience is stronglypreferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Audit, Compliance, Controls, Risk Management or a related oversight function within a complex financial institution.

  • Demonstrated expertise in operational risk events, control failures, root cause analysis and remediation oversight.

  • Proven ability to provide credible challenge and influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

  • Strong analytical, executive communication and relationship management skills.

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and driving outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate with relevant experience. A professional risk, audit, accounting or related certification is an asset.
