The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.\nAs a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.\nJob Description:\nYou will have the opportunity to work as a Software Engineer on our Online & Mobile backend team.\nFrom Day 1, you are an equal member of the team who will be given meaningful assignments to help us deliver improvements and build new microservices for a variety of customer-facing projects across TD, including Banking, Direct Investing, Mobile Payments, and more.\nJob responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices to support our iOS, Android, and Easyweb UIs.\nPerform Unit and System Integration testing\nTroubleshoot and determine root cause and resolution for application defects\nEnsure defect free programming by testing and debugging using available/appropriate tools and participate in peer code reviews \nAdhere to standard secure coding practices to ensure application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities \nWork with other software engineers in Agile Scrum teams to design and build APIs according to business requirements and architectural guidelines\nAdhere to developer expectations defined by the team to ensure high-quality, re-usable, and maintainable software, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation\nWork on a broad range of tasks and multiple, concurrent projects. Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nUndergraduate or above in a technology program, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, Computing, etc.\nExperience with Java/Springboot\nExperience with development tools such as Git, Maven, and Postman\nExperience with AI tools such as Copilot.\nFamiliarity with Terraform, Kafka, and SQL is considered an asset\nStrong knowledge of object-oriented design, implementation, and maintenance.\nStrong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills\nHands-on experience in REST API development using Java.\nFamiliarity with Jira and Confluence\nFamiliarity with cloud technologies\nAnalytical thinking, able to think like a customer and develop solutions that meet a need or uncover a new opportunity.\nWhere you will work\nYou’ll be expected to work primarily onsite at a TD location for meetings, team events and experiences.
