Position Title: Technical Lead, Reporting Platform

Reporting Line: Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM)

About the Team

The Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) Technology team delivers critical data, reporting, and analytics solutions that support Treasury, Finance, Risk, and regulatory functions across TD.

As part of the Reporting Platform team, you will help lead the evolution of a business-critical reporting ecosystem used across TBSM. The platform includes a large-scale SQL data warehouse, data integration services, reporting solutions, and cloud modernization initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and data specialists across multiple locations to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Lead / Software Development Manager you will support and evolve a business-critical reporting and data platform used across the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management department (TBSM). More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the development, support, and enhancement of large reporting and data platforms.
  • Design, develop, and optimize large-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases and data warehouses.
  • Develop and support applications using modern software engineering practices.
  • Design and maintain ETL and data processing pipelines in Big Data environments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of data and reporting workloads to Azure-based platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, database engineering, data engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • Strong hands-on Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including complex SQL development, data modeling, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with application development in Java/Spring Boot or C#/.Net
  • Experience building and supporting ETL, data integration, or data engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, or other big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leveraging software development AI tool such as GitHub Co-Pilot

Preferred Qualifications:

·Azure Databricks experience.

·Python development experience.

·Tableau Server administration experience.

·Power BI development or administration experience.

·Experience with cloud data platforms and modernization programs.

·Financial services, treasury, risk, or regulatory reporting experience.
