You will write code,set up infrastructure,lead design reviews, and sit at the table where platform direction is shaped - driving decisions that scale across segments, geographies, and channels\nMandate: Define and steward the full stack deliveryacross GTB's client experience, infrastructureand connectivity layers - ensuring every surface is composable, every integration is reliable, and every engineering team can ship with confidence.\nAPI & Integration Architecture\nDesign and govern the API layer - RESTful and GraphQLcontracts, versioning strategy, gateway configuration, and consumer-driven contract testing.\n\nOwn the connectivity architecture connecting GTB systems to internal platforms, partner networks, and third-party services.\n\nDefine patterns for event-driven integration, message routing, and protocol translation across diverse connectivity requirements.\n\nEnsure API security, rate limiting, observability, and reliability are first-class concerns\n\nOwn the app code infrastructure - from defining the infrastructure to deploying it in Azure Kubernetes Services.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nCore Requirements\n10+ years of software engineering experience, with the last 3+ in architectureor technical leadership role.\n\nProven track record designing and delivering production-grade full stack systems at enterprise scale - not just contributing to them.\n\nDeep expertise in platform engineering and Kubernetes-based application deployment.\n\nStrong backend engineering grounding: Java, REST and GraphQLAPI design, and distributed systems fundamentals.\n\nSolid understanding of API gateway patterns, security (OAuth2, mTLS, OIDC), and integration architecture.\n\nExtensive experience with relational (Oracle/SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4J)\n\nStrong expertise in data modeling, including graph-based data models\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application delivery.\n\nComfortable with ambiguity - able to define the path forward when requirements are incomplete and tradeoffs are real.\n\nWorking knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs and AI-enabled engineering practices.\n\nRole requires 50% hands on Platform development, 30% Architecture and 20% Product/Executive presentations to showcase the problems/work\n\nSuccess Profile\nThe successful candidate will:\nDefine and execute the vision for the GTB Foundational ServicesPlatform.\n\nDefine and own the end-to-enddelivery/Integrationof Foundational Services - Entitlements, Products and Reference data.\n\nDeliver secure, resilient, and scalable data products and services.\n\nFoster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and accountability.\n\nInfluence technology strategy and transformation outcomes across Global Transaction Banking.\n\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience\n\nMaster's degree preferred\n\nFluency in at least one programming language such as Java or Python\n\n10+ years of relevant experience\n\nHands-on experience required for this role\n\nNiceto have\nCash Management/Transaction Banking experience\n\n#LI-TECH\nWho We Are:\nTD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our innovation, execution, and experience.
