Supports internal and external customers. Manages day to day activities. Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and procedures. Supports Manager and/or Director as appropriate. Mentors and develops staff.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities Required\nDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of department procedures, systems and critical issues.\nHandles issues affecting daily performance, communicating with other departments and outside sources as required to resolve issues. Escalates to management as needed.\nProvides upper management and other departments with accurate, timely, and useful communications, including reports and analysis to enable them to make appropriate decisions.\nEstablishes and maintains positive working relationships with other departments, internal and external customers.\nOversees the documentation of departmental policies and procedures and supervises activities to ensure the policies and procedures are adhered to.\nEnsures that staff productivity is monitored and maintained at an acceptable level such that work is completed accurately, procedures are being followed and deadlines are being met.\nEnsures that staff receives developmental training in order to improve their competencies or build strengths.\nAssists Manager in staff supervision: Provides comprehensive input on periodic staff reviews, maintains employee records, conducts established performance plans and developmental activities for individuals on the team, assists in hiring and training new personnel and makes recommendations for additional training.\nManages the daily influx of business related to peak times and adjusts staff accordingly to meet Service Level Agreements.\nMonitors goals and key performance indicators.\nDevelops and maintains monthly reporting.\nAnalyzes metrics to measure performance and identify opportunities.\nServes as liaison to other departments in developing and/or administering strategies. Supports other departments with ad-hoc projects and special investigations.\nTakes ownership of and/or works on special projects as assigned.\nAssists in formulating ideas that will lead to process improvements.\nPerforms additional duties as assigned\nMeets attendance and punctuality standards\nQualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions\nSelf-directed, able to achieve objectives with some management input.\nAble to direct others to reach objectives.\nArea of direct responsibility and other groups that area interacts with.\nPrevious experience or advanced degree in specific job area.\nAbility to assign duties and resources where necessary to achieve success.\nAbility to analyzes data required to recommend business solutions.\nAbility to identify new sources of business data.\nAbility to forecasts impact of each solution and implement best solution.\nAbility to measure impact after implementation and adapts solution as necessary.\nAbility to react quickly to changing needs, meet SLA's and manage work load of staff accordingly.\nAbility to ensure processes are well controlled and to identify and implement process improvements.\nUnderstands corporate department objectives and functions.\nKnowledge and application of Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Intermediate/Advanced Access (preferred), and Intermediate PowerPoint (preferred). \nGenerally manages team members doing similar tasks.
