This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to create functional design specifications that can be used by development teams throughout the software lifecycle. In addition it is the responsibility of this role to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. Moreover the Business Analyst will initiate the creation of test cases and lead business users through the testing of new solutions. Works with the QA and Training team to document system scenarios and identifies roles impacted\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope.\nClearly identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics.\nConduct interviews and product analysis to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.\nMeet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.\nDevelop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications.\nTranslate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.\nWhere necessary, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on findings. Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow\nAnalyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.\nIdentify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.\nWork with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.\nCreate process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.\nManage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.\nCommunicate changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.\nReview and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.\nPerform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.\nCoordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.\nEnsure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.\nAssist in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.\nProvide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems\nProvide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.\nKnowledge Skills and Experience\nCollege diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems and 5+ years related work experience.\nProven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products\nAbility to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.\nAbility to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required.\nDemonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including MS Project.\nWorking technical knowledge of scripting languages, network and PC operating systems.\nAble to exercise independent judgement and take action on it.\nExcellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.\nExcellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.\nExcellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.\nHighly self motivated and directed.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\nExcellent English language skills\nAt Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX Company, our values guide everything we do: Together, We Own It, We Dare to Go, We Grow and Win, and above all, We Do the Right Thing.
