This role conducts training, performs inspections, analyzes hazards, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The position works closely with operations, leadership, and employees to promote a safe, compliant, and prevention-focused workplace.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram Management & Compliance\nSupport the development and maintenance of EHS programs, procedures, and policies in alignment with OSHA, EPA, local regulatory requirements, and company standards.\nConduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify unsafe conditions or practices.\nAssist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.\nMaintain compliance documentation, records, permits, and reporting requirements.\nParticipate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities.\nTraining & Workforce Development\nDeliver EHS training across multiple topics, including hazard communication, PPE, lockout/tagout, emergency procedures, ergonomics, equipment safety, and job-specific requirements.\nDevelop engaging training materials, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations tailored to different audiences.\nTrack employee training records and ensure timely completion of required courses.\nCoach employees and supervisors on safe work practices and regulatory expectations.\nSafety Support & Field Presence\nProvide daily floor support to reinforce safety awareness and ensure adherence to EHS rules and procedures.\nSupport job hazard analyses (JHAs), safety observations, and risk-reduction initiatives.\nAssist with industrial hygiene monitoring, waste handling, chemical management, and environmental compliance activities as assigned.\nSupport contractors with onboarding, permitting, and monitoring for EHS compliance.\nQualifications\nMinimum 2-5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or similar environments.\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or related field. (equivalent on the job experience may wave the degree).\nStrong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.\nExperience delivering instructor-led training and developing training content.\nExcellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively across teams and influence safe behaviors.\nCertifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER, or similar military experience.
