Platform Product Ownership & Strategy\nAccountable for defining and maintaining the target-state vision for:\nMicrosoft 365 collaboration services (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups, Copilot, Viva where applicable)\nPower Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI - governance and strategy)\nThe hybrid digital workspace (integration of collaboration tools with physical office environments)\nKey outcomes:\nClearly articulated platform roadmap aligned to business priorities\nDefined usage patterns, guardrails, and architectural principles\nTransparent decision-making on platform evolution and deprecation\n2. Platform Governance\nOwn and enforce governance models covering:\nUsage standards and lifecycle management\nWorkspace and application provisioning models (in coordination with the SAM team for licensing)\nData ownership, permissions, retention, and external sharing rules\nThe role ensures consistency at scale, balancing flexibility for the business with enterprise risk and compliance requirements.\n3. Platform Engineering & Maintenance\nProvide leadership over platform stability and continuous improvement, including:\nConfiguration baselines and policy management\nRelease and change impact management for Microsoft 365 updates\nReduction of recurring incidents through standardization and automation\nThis role is accountable for outcomes, not hands-on administration, working through platform engineers and regional teams.\n4. Legacy Reduction & Cloud Migration (Strategy Ownership)\nOwn the strategy and direction for:\nMigration from file shares and legacy collaboration tools to SharePoint and Teams\nReplacement of legacy solutions (e.g. Access databases) with governed Power Platform solutions\nDefinition and active burn-down of technical debt through a documented target-state architecture\nExecution may sit with regional or project teams; accountability for direction, standards, and success remains with this role.\n5.
