We rely on a high level of technical competence and efficiency within our team and look for motivated, talented, and skilled innovators to join us in developing advanced solutions.\nUnder the direction of the President, the Production Supervisor will manage a team, deadlines and compliance to carry out sorbent and catalyst production. Production quantities may vary from pounds to tons of finished product(s). Multiple processes are used that involve mixers, extruders, presses, tanks, and furnaces. This role requires production at all scales, with adequate notes and observations to facilitate historical record, reproduction, and further scale-up activities. Production requires handling and transfer of large amounts of material and chemicals. The role requires the ability to handle introduction of new processes and materials and multi-task to complete multiple production processes and schedules concurrently.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nSupervise, support, and assist 3-4 Production Technicians in a small, advanced materials manufacturing facility\nAdminister policies and procedures\nDemonstrate regular and predictable attendance at the work site and regular presence on the production floor\nResponsible for executing daily, weekly, and long-term production plans and schedules.\nMaintain physical and electronic batch manufacturing record daily\nTrack and record inventory for raw materials usage, finished products, and works in progress using a database tool\nMaintain quality control procedures to ensure materials produced meet or exceed quality standards\nOrder raw materials ahead of scheduled production runs\nCoordinate shipping of finished product and receiving of raw materials both domestically and internationally including preparation of shipping documentation (e.g., packing slips, labels, BOLs, SLI, etc.)\nCoordinate with maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition\nEnsure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines\nCommunicate and coordinate across a cross-functional team including engineers, EH&S, maintenance, logistics, sub-contractors, and sales\nSupervisor role may require off-shift and weekend work on an as-needed basis, and some travel (less than 5%)\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High school diploma or GED\nMinimum 2 years of Supervisory experience\nExcellent chemical hygiene\nExperience with Batch Manufacturing Processing and Production procedures\nStrong proficiency with computers, internet navigation, electronic file structures, and the Microsoft suite\nStrong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently, and sound judgment and problem solving\nProfessional demeanor\nFlexibility with responsibilities and tasks, and proven ability to prioritize tasks\nAbility to independently assess problems and complete tasks with minimal supervision\nAbility to work with a variety of hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, and solvents\nCurrent Driver’s License, able to be insured on company vehicles\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial or manufacturing management, or engineering\nEligible to be a certified fork-lift driver\nExperience with production flow and packaging \nExperience in streamlining and improving production processes knowledge in supply chain management\nExperience troubleshooting product and process issues\nEligible to be Hazmat shipping certified\nJob Environment:Prolonged periods of standing and walking\nAbility to lift up to 45 pounds frequently\nAbility to lift up to 75-100 pounds occasionally\nFine motor skills for use of machinery, a computer and phone\nHigh level of visual acuity, with correction acceptable for proper use of machinery\nAbility to wear and properly use Personal Protective EquipmentRespiratory protection requires limited facial hair to ensure proper fit\n\nFrequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling to perform manufacturing duties\nFrequent use of ladders\nVariable noise levels (manufacturing environment office environment, lab environment and)\nVariable temperatures (requires work inside and outside the facilities) \n Hourly pay range: $32.00 - $36.00 with the complete benefits package offered. This position includes the potential for a performance bonus.
