The Release Train Engineer (RTE) supports a fast-paced Agile environment by enabling effective PI execution, optimizing flow, managing risks and impediments, and ensuring consistent value delivery. The RTE facilitates ART ceremonies, coach teams in Lean-Agile practices, and helps tailor SAFe to the organization’s needs.\nThis is a fully onsite opportunity requiring a daily commute to the Washington, DC area. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead Agile Release Train (ART) activities and drive Lean-Agile practices to improve delivery flow.\nPlan and manage software and architecture release schedules.\nFacilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning and continuous exploration activities, including pre- and post-PI sessions.\nCoordinate cross-team collaboration through Scrum of Scrums and other forums.\nConsolidate team PI objectives and publish program-level objectives.\nTrack feature and capability execution using metrics across Agile and DevOps teams.\nBrief customers and leadership on progress, testing, deployment status, and release readiness.\nUnderstand the program’s complex system architecture to assess risks and customer concerns.\nCoach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders in agile maturity and practices.\nPromote teamwork and alignment to PI goals.\nEscalate and manage impediments and coordinate critical dependencies.\nProvide resourcing and planning input to resolve bottlenecks.\nCollaborate with the PMO on program execution and test data needs.\n QUALIFICATIONS:Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. Ability to pass additional customer suitability screening(s) prior to start.\nCurrent Security+ or equivalent/higher\nBachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nExperience supporting Agile software development teams in roles such as Scrum Master or project lead.\nExperience with Agile project management tools, such as Jira.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience briefing leadership and customer stakeholders.\nStrong time management skills with attention to detail.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of ServiceNow administration or configuration experience.\nExperience with ServiceNow ATFs.\nITIL foundation knowledge or certification.\nAWS cloud certifications.\n PAY RANGE:The anticipated salary range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
