For more information, visit our website at: http://bsenv.com/.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThis position, located at Eielson AFB, Alaska, applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsibilities\nof this position include, but are not limited to:\nFunction in the dual capacity of operator-maintainer to safely and realistically operate and maintain fully functional systems, equipment or circuits (such as radar, radio, telecommunication, video) for maximum training and mission effectiveness supporting combat force training\nExercise independent judgment and apply detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits while performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.\nApply advanced technical knowledge while performing preventive and corrective maintenance action for safe, serviceable and properly configured systems; this includes actions to inspect, service, align/adjust/calibrate, prevent/control corrosion, modify/upgrade equipment and documentation IAW approved directives, and re-establish systems after movements and deployments, as well as solve complex problems through fault detection/troubleshooting/isolation, repair, removing and reinstalling.\nDemonstrate knowledge in the use of complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.\nWork may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.
