Incumbent will work in the diesel power plant to help maintain the facilities and the diesel generators. Part of the job includes basic cleaning and maintenance on the premises surrounding the wind turbines and power plant. This requires attention to safety regulations for the industry and is important for overall safety on the job. Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance on wind turbine generators, diesel generators and facilities and related equipment at site.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nConduct and review safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards in the wind turbines, switch room, and the O&M building\nSupport Root Cause Analyses to assist in determining equipment failure and the reasons for failures when they occur\nComplete required and accurate documentation associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment; maintain records of documentation\nTroubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components and equipment associated with wind turbine and diesel generators\nDocument all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures\nPerform preventative maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner on wind turbines and associated equipment located on the wind farm\nUtilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe manner\nConduct safety analysis and review of hazards and energy sources prior to and while performing any work assignment on the wind farm\nProperly maintain tools and equipment used to perform assigned maintenance assignments\nMaintain required training certifications and qualifications as to enable personnel to safely perform work related tasks in a quality matter\nOther responsibilities as assigned\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\nA minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.\nCertificate or two-year degree program in applied sciences preferred.\nOne year of Turbine experience strong preferred or very good mechanical skills.\nAbility to travel for work and/or training for extended periods of time.\nAbility to work extended work schedules, often in unpleasant weather conditions; indoors and outdoors.\nDemonstrated ability to work in locations above the ground.\nA valid drivers’ license issued by state of residence and in good standing.\nRequired to pass background investigation.\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug test and meet all physical requirements for the position. \nCOMPETENCIES:\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.\nStrong technical skills.\nMust demonstrate customer service attitude\nComfort with heights.\nHigh degree of precision, care and attention to surroundings when in working environments with minimum tolerances.\nHigh level of integrity, strong work ethic, good judgment, fast thinking, attention to safety and problem-solving skills.\nProfessional, leading by example and willing to put the company and others before themselves.\nRecognizes need for confidentiality and security of sensitive information.\nSuperior interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to quality.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.\nCompliance data must be accurate and reliable.\nNOTES:\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
