As a Data Analyst, you will play an important role in helping ensure these assets are supported by accurate, reliable and meaningful information that enables informed planning and decision-making.\n\nWorking within the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG), you will support the delivery of a national Asset Management Information System and help establish a consistent approach to asset data management across Health New Zealand. You will collect, cleanse, analyse and validate data from multiple systems, identify gaps and quality issues, and contribute to the development of a trusted national asset dataset.\n\nYou will transform complex asset, property and infrastructure data into clear insights, reports and visualisations that support operational, tactical and strategic decision-making. This is an opportunity to influence the future of asset information management within one of New Zealand's largest and most complex organisations.\n\nAbout the Team/Service/Location\n\nThe IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.\n\nGiving support, oversight and assurance across asset management, asset maintenace projects and programmes, the team understand that compliant, safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.\n\nAbout you\n\nYou are an experienced data professional who enjoys solving complex information challenges and improving the quality and reliability of data. You have strong analytical skills and can confidently work with large, incomplete or evolving datasets to deliver meaningful insights and practical recommendations.\n\nYou are comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and can explain technical information in a way that is easy to understand. You value collaborating with others, building trusted relationships and contributing to projects that have organisation-wide impact.\n\nYou bring a structured approach to your work, balancing attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture. Most importantly, you are motivated by using data to support better decisions and improve outcomes across a complex national environment.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nA relevant tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Management, Statistics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nExperience in data analysis, data management, data architecture or similar analytical roles.\n\nStrong experience collecting, cleansing, validating and analysing data from multiple sources.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and data visualisations.\n\nAn understanding of reporting solutions, integration tools, databases and information systems.\n\nExperience working with complex, incomplete or evolving datasets.\n\nProven ability to deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.\n\nStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\n\nExperience identifying, managing and monitoring risks associated with data and project delivery.\n\nServiceNow experience would be advantageous\n\nWorking for Health New Zealand\n\nHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
