We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Elementary Long-Term Substitute Teachers to deliver high-quality education instruction. In this role, you will help scholars grow academically, build confidence, and develop character. What You Will Do
Lead a joyful, rigorous classroom where every scholar is seen, challenged, and supported to grow.
As an educator, you will help ensure scholar success daily by:
- Showing up prepared, positive, and committed to every scholar
- Making learning engaging, rigorous, and accessible for each scholar
- Encouraging academic growth while nurturing confidence and character
- Partnering with families and teammates to support the whole child
- Reflecting on practice and growing through coaching and feedback
- Collaborating with colleagues and participating in staff meetings and professional development

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Educator Certification/Licensure in K-5 (Elementary Education Certification)
- Experience teaching in a K-5 classroom
- Familiarity with data-driven instruction and standards-based planning
- Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment
Highly Preferred:
- North Carolina Educator License in the appropriate grade band (Elementary Education K-5)
Benefits
Pay:
- Long-Term (Degreed): $22.00 per hour
- Long-Term (Certified/ Ph.D.): $30.00 per hour
