thinkers.\nPosition Overview\nWe’re seeking a senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer to help evolve our internal developer platform into an AI-first, intelligent system that makes infrastructure self-service, adaptive, and increasingly autonomous.\nIn this role, you will work closely with platform leadership to implement and extend a vision for abstracting\ncloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code), while introducing AI-driven workflows, natural language interfaces, and intelligent automation into the developer experience.\nYou’ll be a hands-on technical expert in AWS EKS and platform engineering, building extensible tooling and systems that enable developers to provision, operate, and troubleshoot infrastructure through intuitive, context-aware workflows.\nThis is a high-impact role for a senior engineer who operates with autonomy, contributes to platform direction, and executes at a high level across teams.\nSpecific Roles & Responsibilities:\nContribute to Platform Evolution\nPartner with platform leadership to evolve the internal developer platform toward an AI-first model\nTranslate strategic direction into practical, scalable implementations\nHelp shape platform capabilities through hands-on engineering and technical input\n Build Self-Service Infrastructure\nDesign and implement self-service infrastructure systems that abstract away cloud complexity\nBuild APIs, CLIs, and developer-facing tools that enable infrastructure provisioning without requiring deep cloud expertise\nIntroduce AI-assisted interfaces (CLI, chat, UI) for provisioning, debugging, and operations\n Engineer and Scale Kubernetes Platforms (EKS)\nDesign, build, and operate secure, multi-tenant Amazon EKS clusters\nContribute to platform architecture, scalability, cost optimization, and reliability\nImplement policy, networking, and workload isolation best practices\n Implement Intelligent Platform Workflows\nBuild systems that interpret infrastructure signals (logs, metrics, events) and provide actionableinsights\n\nDevelop AI-assisted workflows for incident triage, root cause analysis, and runbook generation/execution\nEnable human-in-the-loop automation for safe and controlled remediation\nDevelop Developer Tooling and Experience\nBuild platform SDKs, CLIs, and service templates that standardize infrastructure consumption\nContribute to AI-powered copilots and assistants that improve developer productivity\nEnable natural language interaction with platform services where appropriate\n Codify Best Practices\nImplement reusable infrastructure patterns and opinionated defaults\nEncode security, scalability, and compliance into platform tooling\nExtend Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g., OpenTofu) with abstraction and validation layers\nDrive Observability and Insight\nImplement logging, metrics, and tracing across platform systems\nLeverage AI to detect anomalies, summarize system behavior, and surface actionable insights\nContribute to systems that move from visibility to guided action\nIterate and Improve\nContribute to platform instrumentation and feedback loops\nUse data and developer feedback to improve usability, performance, and adoption\nContinuously refine platform capabilities based on real-world usage\nCollaborate Across Teams\nWork closely with application teams, SREs, and security engineers\nSupport platform adoption through strong technical partnership\nProvide mentorship and guidance to engineers where needed\nWhy This Role self-service, but intelligent and context-aware, enabling engineers to move faster, make better decisions, and focus on what matters most.\nThis is an opportunity to:\nOperate as a senior, high-impact individual contributor on a modern platform team\nHelp evolve infrastructure into an AI-first, intelligent system\nBuild tools and systems that actively amplify developer productivity\nQualifications:\nCore Experience\n8+ years in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering role\nProven experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms\nDeep expertise in Amazon Web Services, especially EKS, IAM, and networking\nStrong programming skills (Python or Go), with experience building production-grade tools and services\nStrong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and cloud-native architectures\nAI-First and Systems Thinking\nExperience or strong interest in integrating AI/LLMs into developer or operational workflows\nFamiliarity with APIs from providers like OpenAI or similar\nUnderstanding of event-driven architectures and their role in intelligent automation\nAbility to design adaptive, feedback-driven systems rather than static workflows\n Platform and Developer Experience\nExperience building developer tooling (CLIs, portals, SDKs)\nFamiliarity with platforms like Backstage, Port, or custom developer portals\nStrong product mindset with a focus on usability and developer experience\nCollaboration and Influence\nStrong systems thinking and architectural design skills\nAbility to operate independently while
