Insurance & Risk Management\nManage insurance requirements across the product lifecycle, including:Transit insurance\nMarine/cargo insurance\nWarehouse insurance\nProduct liability\nFire and asset insurance\nOther relevant business/product insurance policies\n\nEnsure appropriate insurance coverage for inventory across warehouses, transit and service locations.\nCoordinate with insurance brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders for policy renewals, claims and documentation.\nManage insurance claims from initiation to closure.\nIdentify gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.\nMaintain an updated Risk Register covering operational, supply chain, product and compliance risks.\nTrack incidents, losses, claims and corrective actions.\n2. Regulatory & Product Compliance\nOwn the compliance calendar and ensure Teachmint X products meet applicable regulatory requirements before import, manufacturing, sale and deployment.\nKey areas include:\nBIS certifications and registrations\nApplicable electrical/electronic product standards\nLegal Metrology requirements\nE-waste / EPR compliance\nImport and customs-related documentation\nProduct labelling and marking requirements\nPackaging and statutory declarations\nCountry-specific product certifications\nApplicable environmental and sustainability requirements\n3. E-Waste & EPR Compliance\nOwn E-waste compliance for electronic products sold/distributed by Teachmint X.\nEnsure compliance with applicable EPR/E-waste regulations in India.\nCoordinate with authorised recyclers/refurbishers and compliance agencies.\nMaintain records of e-waste generation, collection, recycling and disposal.\nEnsure required EPR registrations, returns, documentation and reporting are completed within timelines.\nBuild processes for end-of-life product collection and responsible disposal.\nWork with Service Operations to ensure defective/replaced boards and devices are appropriately classified and routed for recycling/disposal.\n4. Country-Specific Certifications & Market Readiness\nMaintain a country-wise certification matrix for products and SKUs.\nIdentify mandatory certifications before launching products in a specific geography.\nCoordinate with ODM/OEM partners and certification agencies for required approvals.\nTrack certification validity, renewal dates and changes in regulatory requirements.\nEnsure product variants, components and modifications are covered under applicable certifications.\nMaintain documentation for:Safety certifications\nEMC certifications\nRadio/wireless certifications where applicable\nEnergy efficiency requirements\nEnvironmental compliance\nProduct registration\nLabelling requirements\n\n5. BIS & Legal Metrology\nCoordinate BIS certification/registration and compliance for applicable products and components.\nMaintain BIS certificates, test reports and supporting technical documentation.\nTrack product/SKU changes and assess whether recertification or amendments are required.\nEnsure compliance with Legal Metrology requirements for packaging, declarations, MRP, importer/manufacturer details, country of origin and other applicable declarations.\nCoordinate with Legal, Supply Chain, Product and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliant product packaging and labelling.\n6. OEM / ODM & Supplier Compliance\nEnsure manufacturing and technology partners provide all mandatory compliance documents before production/import.\nMaintain compliance documentation for each product/SKU.\nAudit supplier compliance periodically.\nEnsure changes in components, BOM, manufacturing location or product specifications are evaluated for regulatory impact.\nInclude relevant compliance requirements in supplier onboarding and purchase processes.\n7. Product Change & Compliance Review\nEstablish a Compliance Gate for new product/SKU launches and engineering changes.\nReview regulatory impact when there are changes to:Mainboard\nPower board\nDisplay/panel\nWireless modules\nAdapter/power supply\nCamera/microphone modules\nProduct enclosure\nManufacturing location\nProduct specifications\n\nEnsure no product is commercially launched without completion of applicable regulatory checks.\n8. Documentation & Audit Readiness\nMaintain a central compliance repository covering:\nCertificates\nTest reports\nBIS documentation\nEPR/E-waste records\nLegal Metrology documentation\nInsurance policies\nClaims\nSupplier compliance documents\nCountry-specific certifications\nRegulatory filings and renewals\nPrepare the organization for internal, customer, statutory and regulatory audits.\n9. Compliance Monitoring & Governance\nMaintain a Compliance Calendar with owners, due dates and renewal timelines.\nTrack regulatory changes that may impact Teachmint X products or operations.\nConduct periodic compliance reviews across manufacturing, warehouses, logistics and service operations.\nEscalate compliance gaps and drive closure with relevant stakeholders.\nDevelop dashboards for management covering compliance status, risks, claims and upcoming renewals.\nKey KPIs\n100% mandatory certifications completed before product launch\nZero regulatory non-compliance due to missed certification/renewal\n100% E-waste/EPR compliance within statutory timelines\nBIS compliance across applicable SKUs\nLegal Metrology compliance across applicable products/packaging\nInsurance coverage adequacy\nInsurance claim closure TAT\nCompliance audit closure rate\nSupplier/OEM compliance adherence\nCountry-wise certification readiness\nZero shipment/launch delays attributable to compliance gaps\nRequired Experience & Skills\n1-3 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance or Insurance, preferably in consumer electronics, electrical equipment, IT hardware or manufacturing.\nStrong understanding of Indian regulatory requirements.\nExperience with BIS, E-waste/EPR and Legal Metrology will be highly preferred.\nExperience managing product certifications and regulatory documentation.\nUnderstanding of insurance policies, claims and risk assessment.\nExperience coordinating with certification agencies, OEMs/ODMs, vendors and government/regulatory bodies.\nStrong documentation and compliance tracking skills.\nExcellent Excel/Google Sheets and reporting capabilities.\nStrong stakeholder management and follow-up skills.\nPreferred Qualities\nDetail-oriented with strong ownership.\nAbility to identify compliance risks proactively.\nStrong understanding of electronics/product lifecycle.\nComfortable working across Legal, Product, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and Service teams.\nAbility to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational processes.\nStrong execution mindset with high attention to documentation and timelines.\nDisclaimer: Kindly note that Teachmint Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
