The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) sits at the intersection of product, engineering, partner delivery, and AI-enabled process innovation. This role works directly with SaaS partners to design, build, and deploy AI-enhanced payment workflows and integrations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead technical discovery sessions with partners\nDesign and implement API integrations (REST, webhooks, tokenization)\nBuild and maintain custom scripts, and lightweight services\nLead technical integrations from sandbox to production\nBe deployed as part of partner development teams to help deliver best-practices-led integrations\nLeverage AI tools for code generation and automation\nCreate repeatable AI-enabled delivery playbooks and certifications\nPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Operations to drive implementation success\nWhat You’ll Own\nSuccessful partner implementations (time-to-live, quality, scalability)\nReusable AI-assisted assets (MCPs, templates, scripts)\nDeliver efficiency improvements\nPartner technical trust\nBasic Qualifications\n3-6 years in software/solutions engineering\nExperience with APIs and integrations\nProficiency in Java, Type Script, or similar\nFlexibility to work in the partner’s language-not just ours\nCustomer-facing technical experience\nInterest in or experience with AI-augmented engineering\nPreferred Qualifications\nPayments or fintech experience\nKnowledge of gateways and Payfacs\nExperience with cloud (AWS preferred)\nFamiliarity with AI developer tools (Kiro/Claude/CoPilot preferred)\nCompensation, Benefits, and Work Environment\nWork Location & Flexibility\nConstellation Payments operates on a 100% remote-first model.
