This is a hands-on transport role responsible for the safe and efficient pickup and delivery of general freight across the local area, along with forklift and depot duties.\nKey responsibilities include:\nCompleting scheduled local pickup and delivery runs across Hobart\nSafely operating an MR vehicle between the depot and customer locations\nCompleting multiple pickups and deliveries throughout each run\nLoading and unloading general freight at the depot and customer sites\nOperating a forklift to load and unload freight as required\nChecking freight against consignment details and delivery documentation\nEnsuring freight is correctly loaded, secured, and protected during transit\nCompleting pre-start and routine vehicle safety checks\nSafely manoeuvring vehicles in depot yards, loading areas, customer premises, and other confined areas\nCompleting delivery documentation, freight scanning, and proof of delivery requirements\nProviding professional and courteous service when dealing with customers and site contacts\nReporting damaged, missing, or incorrectly addressed freight\nReporting vehicle defects, incidents, delays, or other issues as required\nAssisting with freight handling and general depot operations between driving runs\nFollowing all company safety procedures, road laws, and operational requirements\nWhat you'll bring\nA current and valid MR Driver Licence\nA current Forklift Licence\nPrevious experience in a professional driving, transport, freight, or logistics environment\nExperience with local pickup and delivery operations\nA strong understanding of safe driving practices and load restraint\nThe ability to safely load, unload, handle, and secure general freight\nKnowledge of Hobart and surrounding areas, or the ability to confidently navigate local delivery routes\nA strong commitment to safety, compliance, and responsible driving\nA professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with customers and members of the public\nFull working rights in Australia\n#LI-DNI\nAbout Team Global Express\nTeam Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
