This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, leading delivery partners, and ensuring exceptional service outcomes for our customers.\nReporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee fleet operations, driver performance, service delivery, customer relationships, and operational compliance. You will work closely with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with service commitments.\nKey responsibilities include:\nCoordinating daily fleet operations and delivery activities to achieve service and performance targets\nAllocating transport resources and communicating operational plans to key stakeholders\nMonitoring service delivery and resolving operational issues in a timely manner\nManaging driver attendance, leave, performance, and compliance requirements\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders\nDelivering toolbox talks and supporting the ongoing development of delivery partners\nEnsuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and Chain of Responsibility obligations\nMonitoring scanning compliance, POD retrieval, and operational reporting requirements\nCoordinating backup vehicles and contingency plans when required\nPreparing and reviewing daily and weekly operational and KPI reports\nInvestigating service issues and implementing solutions to improve operational performance\nIdentifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes\nEnsuring driver and vehicle presentation standards are maintained\nSupporting a positive safety culture across both customer and Team Global Express sites\nWhat You'll Bring\nPrevious experience in a transport, logistics, fleet operations, or supervisory role (preferred but not mandatory) \nStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and manage teams\nExperience coordinating drivers, vehicles, and daily transport operations\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nProven ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges\nHigh attention to detail with strong administrative and reporting capabilities\nA hands-on leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence\nAbout Team Global Express\nTeam Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
