at Team Rubicon Canada (View all jobs)

Posting Closing Date: 30 September 2026

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)-inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas-across all aspects of our operations.

We are seeking a Manager, Development who can build meaningful relationships, identify new funding opportunities, and help grow the support needed to advance our mission. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will play a key role in driving donor engagement, stewarding corporate and community partners, managing grant opportunities, and supporting fundraising initiatives across the organization. You will oversee donor prospecting and stewardship activities, fundraising reporting and analytics, donation processing, and partner engagement through events and service opportunities.

The right person is a self-starter and team player with strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement, and the ability to communicate effectively with donors, partners, volunteers, and staff. Our culture requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world and competent enough to have a chance. Every day is a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position can be hybrid or remote with occasional travel required.

Duties

  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities to strengthen Team Rubicon Canada's fundraising pipeline.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and funding applications to secure support from individual donors, corporations, and grant-making organizations.
  •  Manage the grants pipeline, including application timelines, reporting requirements, and funder stewardship.
  • Lead donor stewardship and recognition efforts, including donor communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain fundraising reports and dashboards to track performance against fundraising goals and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze donor and campaign data to provide insights that strengthen fundraising strategies and donor engagement.
  • Oversee donation processing, donor records, receipting, and data integrity to ensure an excellent donor experience.
  •  Manage third-party fundraising platforms and support fundraising campaigns in alignment with organizational priorities.
  •  Represent Team Rubicon Canada at donor, community, and partner events and support Team Service Days as required.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in development, fundraising, or a related non-profit environment.
  • CFRE certification is an asset.
  • Demonstrated success in donor prospecting, research, pipeline management, and securing funding from individuals, corporations, and grant-making organizations.
  •  Proven ability to manage donor portfolios and align fundraising activities with strategic objectives.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret fundraising data and identify opportunities to improve performance and donor engagement.
  • Proficiency with fundraising and project management tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, Bloomerang (or equivalent CRM), and online giving platforms such as FundraiseUp.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and coordinate Greyshirts and volunteers in support of fundraising initiatives.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Experience working with Veteran and First Responder communities is an asset.
  • Passion for the mission and values of Team Rubicon Canada.
