From React frontends through Node.js services to event-driven backends and the AI systems that power our fraud prevention.\nYour Role\nYou'll build end-to-end features across Charm's product suite, working closely with AI engineers, designers, and customers to deliver polished experiences that protect millions of banking customers. You will:\nBuild and own features across our React frontends (analyst Copilot, management portal, real-time conversation widget) and Node.js/Express backend services\nDesign and implement APIs, background workers, and data models using Express.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL\nBuild event-driven systems using NATS to process fraud signals and coordinate between services\nDevelop real-time features using Socket.io and WebSockets for live fraud detection workflows\nIntegrate AI capabilities into production systems, working with our LangChain/LangGraph-powered agents\nDesign database schemas, optimize queries, and manage data pipelines across PostgreSQL and Redis\nBuild observability into your services using Pino, OpenTelemetry, and Prometheus\nCollaborate with product, design, AI engineers, and customers to ship high-impact features\nContribute to engineering practices across the stack as we scale\nRequirements\n5+ years of full stack development experience with strong backend depth in Node.js/TypeScript\nExperience designing and building event-driven architectures (message queues, pub/sub patterns, async workers)\nStrong proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, and data modeling\nExperience building and scaling RESTful APIs with Express.js or similar frameworks\nSolid understanding of real-time systems (WebSockets, Socket.io, streaming)\nProficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development\nExperience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)\nUnderstanding of distributed systems concepts (eventual consistency, idempotency, fault tolerance)\nA builder's mindset.
