You’ll work on a variety of compactors and related equipment, putting your experience in hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical repair to work every day.\nFrom diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues to repairing motors and pumps, fabricating chutes, and installing cardboard balers, the work is varied and requires someone who can think through problems and see a job through to completion.\nIf you’re an experienced technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and tackling different challenges in the field, we’d like to talk with you.\nApply today andGEAR UP for success!\nWe offer perks like:\nCompetitive pay based on experience and skill level, ranging from $28-$42 per hour.Skill level is assessed by the hiring manager during the in-person interview.\n\n$1,500 Sign On Bonus\n$250 Quarterly Tool Allowance\n$200 Annual Boot Allowance\nWork-Life Balance: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, with occasional weekends\nCompany-Provided Uniforms\nVendor-Exclusive Training & Development\nBenefits:\nComprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and more\nPaid Time Off: Accrue up to two weeks of PTO during your first year\nCompany-Paid Disability: Short- and long-term disability coverage\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\n401(k) with Company Match\nEmployee Referral Program\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nAs a Field Service Technician with our Compactor department, you’ll:\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on compactors and related equipment.\nRepair and replace critical components including motors, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, valves, controls, and other equipment components.\nPerform welding and fabrication work, including cutting and replacing chutes, guide rails, and other structural components.\nInstall and service equipment such as trash compactors, cardboard balers, and related systems at customer locations.\nUse torches, cutting tools, welding equipment, and other shop/field tools to complete repairs and modifications.\nWork independently in the field, assessing equipment issues, determining the appropriate repair, and seeing the job through to completion.\nFollow required safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, fire watch, fall protection, and safe work practices.\nMaintain accurate service and repair documentation and ensure equipment is returned to safe, reliable operating condition.\nWork directly with customers and the service team to communicate equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.\nQualifications:\nCompactor Experience: Hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing compactors is strongly preferred, but not required. \nEquipment Repair: Experience repairing heavy equipment, vocational equipment, or industrial machinery.\nMechanical Skills: Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.\nHydraulic & Electrical: Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.\nWelding & Fabrication: Experience with welding, cutting, and basic fabrication.\nTools: Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, torches, and measuring equipment.\nDriver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.\nSafety: Commitment to safe work practices and following required procedures.\nIndependence: Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues in the field.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work in tight or confined spaces as needed.\nComfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.\nAbility to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach as needed.\nAbility to lift and move objects weighing 50+ lbs. independently.\nAbility to safely enter and exit various vehicles and equipment.\nAbility to meet the physical requirements of a DOT medical examination.\nCommunication Requirements:\nThis position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to safely perform the essential functions of the job.\nEffective communication is necessary to understand and follow safety procedures and instructions, communicate with customers and team members, and complete required job-related documentation.\nWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
