This role is suited for candidates with solid hands-on testing experience who can work independently, take full ownership of the QA process (including requirement review, test planning, test case design and test execution) and who bring a proactive, self-driven mindset to quality in fast-paced delivery environments. \n\nRequirements\nResponsibilities:\n\nAnalyze requirements, user stories, and designs to identify test scenarios, coverage gaps and risks.\n\nTake full ownership of the QA process end-to-end, from requirement review and test planning through test case design and execution.\n\nTake the initiative to identify gaps and drive improvements in QA practices, without needing close supervision.\n\nDesign, review, and execute manual test cases for web-based applications.\n\nDevelop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing.\n\nDecide and justify which test cases should be automated vs manual.\n\nPerform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.\n\nPlan and execute performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate system behavior under various conditions.\n\nAnalyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.\n\nLog, track, and manage defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.\n\nMust-Have:\n\n4 years and above of experience in software testing or quality assurance.\n\nStrong understanding of software testing fundamentals, defect lifecycle and test design techniques.\n\nProven ability to work independently and take ownership of the full QA process, including requirement review, test planning, test case design, and execution.\n\nSelf-motivated with strong initiative, comfortable driving QA activities forward proactively with minimal supervision.\n\nHands-on experience testing web applications.\n\nHands-on experience with test automation for web and API testing.\n\nProficiency in automation scripting using Python or similar languages.\n\nExperience with UI automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent).\n\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nSolid knowledge of SQL backend data validation.\n\nComfortable working in Linux/RHEL environments (log analysis, basic shell commands).\n\nAbility to handle ambiguous or evolving requirements and work effectively under tight deadlines.\n\nNice-to-Have:\n\nExperience in performance, load, and stress testing of web applications.\n\nUnderstanding of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, and error rate.\n\nOther information:\n\nMalaysian candidates only.\n\nWorking hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm.\n\nTo come in office once a week, work from home on other days.\n\nWorking location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
