Teams work with industry-standard engineering methodologies, programming languages, development environments, and lifecycle tools to deliver reliable and high-quality engineering solutions.\n\nBacked by Tech Mahindra's global engineering capabilities, the practice collaborates with leading global technology and engineering organizations, working as an extended engineering partner to accelerate product development, improve quality, and support complex engineering programs.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an experienced Aerospace Embedded Software Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to work on embedded software development for aerospace and avionics applications.\n\nThe role requires strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C/C++ programming, along with experience in RTOS, ARM Controllers, ASM, CAL, HAL, and Python. The engineer will be involved in understanding and writing software requirements, developing software from requirements, creating tests, debugging, and resolving complex embedded software issues.\n\nThe ideal candidate should also have good knowledge of the DO-178C standard for avionics software development and familiarity with engineering lifecycle and COTS tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and DOORS NG.\n\nWork Location: Bangalore\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop embedded software applications using C and C++ for aerospace/avionics systems.\nUnderstand and write software requirements and develop software based on defined requirements.\nDesign, develop, debug, test, and maintain embedded software components.\nDevelop and execute software tests based on requirements.\nWork with Embedded C/C++, ASM, Python, RTOS, CAL, and HAL environments.\nPerform software development and debugging on ARM Controller-based embedded platforms.\nTroubleshoot software issues and perform root-cause analysis and problem resolution.\nFollow applicable DO-178C avionics software development practices.\nWork with tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and DOORS NG as part of the software development lifecycle.\nParticipate in software reviews, requirements reviews, design discussions, and debugging activities.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.\nMaintain strong technical documentation and communicate engineering issues effectively.\n\nQualifications\nBE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Aerospace, Avionics, or a related engineering discipline.\nRequired Skills\n5–7 years of relevant experience in embedded software development.\nStrong programming experience in Embedded C and C++.\nExperience in aerospace/avionics embedded software development.\nHands-on knowledge of ASM, C, C++, and Python.\nGood understanding of RTOS-based embedded systems.\nExperience working with ARM Controllers.\nKnowledge and working exposure to CAL and HAL.\nExperience in software requirements, code development, and requirement-based testing.\nGood knowledge of DO-178C standards for avionics software.\nFamiliarity with COTS/development tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and DOORS NG.\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Skills\nStrong exposure to aerospace or safety-critical embedded software development.\nExperience debugging complex RTOS and ARM-based embedded systems.\nGood understanding of low-level software and hardware/software interfaces.\nExperience working across the requirements, development, testing, and debugging lifecycle.\nAbility to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional engineering
