The platform helps business teams assess market opportunities and generate data-driven insights across power market operations.\nThe PSO Interface IT Enablement initiative is focused on establishing a scalable, secure, and supportable platform foundation while enabling future reporting, analytics, forecasting, and application enhancements. The engineer will collaborate with business and project stakeholders to help deliver a stable platform that supports future growth and innovation.\nPosition Summary\nThe AWS Cloud & Identity Engineer will design and implement the cloud and identity foundation for the PSO platform. The role will own AWS environment architecture and configuration, IAM policy design, Amazon Cognito integration, infrastructure as code, observability, resilience, and production readiness. The engineer will also design and support Databricks on AWS, including secure workspace connectivity, identity integration, storage access, networking, monitoring, and deployment automation for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and support AWS infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.\nConfigure and manage IAM roles, policies, service accounts, identity federation, and least-privilege access controls.\nImplement and support Amazon Cognito authentication and application integration patterns.\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.\nEstablish monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, recovery, and operational support practices.\nContribute to logical and physical architecture diagrams, implementation plans, technical testing, and production readiness.\nSupport troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, operating procedures, and support runbooks.\nDesign and support Databricks on AWS, including workspace architecture, VPC connectivity, S3 access, IAM roles, secrets, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code deployment patterns.\nRequired Qualifications\nFive or more years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.\nStrong experience with AWS IAM, Amazon Cognito, authentication, authorization, and identity federation.\nExperience with AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.\nExperience supporting enterprise cloud environments and production operations.\nKnowledge of cloud networking, secrets management, encryption, monitoring, and logging.\nStrong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.\nHands-on Databricks experience on AWS, including workspace configuration, IAM and identity integration, S3 or data lake connectivity, cluster or compute policies, secrets management, networking, monitoring, and CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code automation.\nDatabricks Experience\nRequired: Hands-on experience deploying or integrating Databricks on AWS, including workspace architecture, VPC connectivity, IAM roles, S3 or data lake access, secrets management, monitoring, cluster or compute policies, and CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code automation.\nPreferred Energy Market Experience\nExperience supporting energy trading, power market analytics, utility operations, renewable energy, or forecasting platforms.\nFamiliarity with North American ISO/RTO markets such as ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, or ISO-NE.\nUnderstanding of energy forecasting, optimization, market analysis, generation operations, or transmission systems.\nExperience in regulated, cybersecurity-sensitive, or compliance-driven utility environments is preferred.\nRelevant AWS certification is a plus.\nExpected Deliverables\nDocumented AWS and identity architecture.\nConfigured cloud environments and reusable infrastructure templates.\nIAM and Cognito implementation standards.\nMonitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and operational procedures.\nDatabricks on AWS architecture, access model, configuration standards, and operational documentation.\nProduction readiness evidence, knowledge transfer, and support runbooks.\nThe pay range for this role is $125k - $145k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
