The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in visual design and will take on the role of Product Owner, leading design initiatives that align with our strategic goals. This position is based in Washington, DC, and requires a creative thinker who can effectively communicate design concepts and collaborate with cross functional teams.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the visual design process from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with OCM strategies.\nAct as the Product Owner, prioritizing design tasks and managing the design backlog.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into compelling visual solutions.\nDevelop and maintain design guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.\nConduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience.\nMentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.\nStay updated on industry trends and best practices in visual design and OCM.\nPresent design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs.\nMandatory Skills:\nProven experience in visual design with a strong portfolio showcasing design work.\nExpertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.\nStrong understanding of OCM principles and their application in design.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with user experience (UX) design and research methodologies.\nFamiliarity with front end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).\nKnowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in design.\nExperience in leading design workshops and brainstorming sessions.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.\n10+ years of professional experience in visual design, with a focus on OCM.\nProven track record of successful design projects and leadership roles.\nStrong problem solving skills and attention to detail.\nSalary:\nFull-time: The pay range for this role is $100k -$ 130k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
