The candidate should be comfortable to work in PST Time zone.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mobile Engineer in Montreal, QC with strong background in mobile application development and architecture, with hands on coding experience. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities to drive mobile projects from conception to deployment.\nRequired Technical Skills:\nSwift/iOS and Kotlin/Android expertise\nReact Native or Kotlin Multiplatform\nMobile architecture patterns and performance optimization\nOffline-first applications and release engineering\nMobile CI/CD and testing practices\nRetail or eCommerce experience\nAI SDLC\nRequired Leadership Skills\n12+ years of software engineering experience, with significant tenure at Staff/Principal level.\nDrive cross-team technical decisions, platform direction, and multi-team initiatives (architecture alignment, trade-off resolution, execution). \nDefine and scale AI-driven SDLC standards, including tools, guardrails, and automation patterns.\nHands-on experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to deliver production systems; able to articulate workflow impact and guardrails.\nStrong experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems (APIs, data pipelines, event driven systems, high-scale platforms).\nProven cross-org leadership-driving architecture, standards, and platform initiatives across multiple teams.\nElevate engineering quality through code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentoring senior engineers.\nStrong engineering fundamentals in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability while maintaining delivery velocity.\nEffective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority.\nExperience collaborating across product, data, security, and infrastructure teams.\nTrack record of documenting and scaling architectural decisions and organizational learnings.\nExperience working with distributed teams (US, China, LATAM).\nThe pay range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
