Industry: Chemical Manufacturing / Fertilizer Production.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reliability Engineer to lead asset criticality assessments and reliability improvement initiatives for our Ammonia Nitrate and Nitric Acid production facilities in Alberta. The ideal candidate will apply advanced reliability methodologies to optimize asset performance, reduce operational risks, and enhance safety and compliance in a high-hazard chemical processing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct asset criticality evaluations using risk-based methodologies (RBA, RCM, FMEA) For Ammonia Nitrate & Nitric Acid manufacturing plant equipment like Ammonia Vaporizer and Preheater, Heat Recovery Boilers, Absorption Towers etc..\nDevelop and implement reliability strategies for critical equipment and systems.\nPerform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lead corrective action planning.\nCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to align reliability goals.\nAnalyze failure data and reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement.\nSupport condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs.\nEnsure compliance with Canadian safety and environmental regulations (CSA, PSM).\nMaintain and optimize asset data in CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).\nPrepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders and leadership.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.\n5+ years of experience in reliability engineering within chemical or process industries.\nExperience in Ammonia Nitrate and/or Nitric Acid plant operations is highly preferred.\nProfessional certifications such as CMRP, ARP-E, or equivalent are advantageous.\nStrong knowledge of asset integrity, corrosion management, and pressure systems.\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in reliability tools: ReliaSoft, RAM analysis, FRACAS.\nSkilled in data analysis and visualization (Excel, Power BI).\nFamiliarity with Canadian regulatory standards and process safety protocols.\nExperience with condition monitoring technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis).\nSoft Skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.\nAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teams.\nThe pay range for this role is CAD $60/hr to CAD $65/hr.\nAI tools may assist in the recruitment process; however, all hiring decisions are made by the recruitment team based on a comprehensive evaluation of candidates.\n“Tech Mahindra is an Equal Employment Opportunity client.
